  Stop over enroute to Florida

  Very clean and sanitary Inn on a small quiet street. Private parking lot behind house. They have the main house available as well as what they call the Carriage House on the opposite end of the parking lot. Old fashion decor perhaps late 19th century. Nice stay. We did notice that it could have been fixed up a bit more in some areas. Some physcal features appeared a little under maintained, but nothing terrible. We expected a little more B&B style breakfast. I understand that things are more limited due to pandemic circumstances, but they had very small servings of quiche, cold hard boiled eggs, and sausage each morning. Some pastries and toast available. It wasn't at all bad though. Other B&Bs we've been to recently still served a larger breakfast with more options while still observing covid protocols. Coffee was excellent. I would stay there again. Clean, quiet, and comfortable room. Very welcoming hosts and hostesses. Nice people. Overall I would definitely say give them a shot.

  An historic stay

  Tyler and Jackson are superb hosts, they both are very attentive to any needs. The accommodations are very comfortable and spacious. The location is very easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping and all the sights. You can't beat the free parking behind the house. We highly recommend the Barksdale House Inn.

  Very Dog Friendly

  We loved staying here. Had a spacious room on the second floor of the carriage house. Traveling and finding accommodations for our two Labs isnt always easy. Thank goodness for places like Barksdale House. Great location-steps from King Street for great shopping and dining. Breakfast was plentiful-order from A menu not a buffet. We will be back for sure.

  Historic Inn

  This is a three story house that was built in the 1700-1800's on a quiet street. We stayed 5 nights on the second floor. Our room was large with a four poster bed, jacuzzi and fireplace. It was very quiet and the staff were super nice and helpful. They serve a continental breakfast that included quiche that was very good. There is no restaurants close by and a lot of walking to tour the historic district.

  Delightful Stay

  My husband and I spent two peaceful nights at Barksdale House Inn. The room was nice and cozy, the staff very helpful and friendly, the breakfasts tasty and filling. It is a great location within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Highly recommended!
