  cheap and functional

  Hmm, this is a cheap place, but you pay a cheap price. The room was clean, and it was comfortable. It is quite old and has no real facilities, but we didn't care as we only used it to sleep. Bed was fine and the shower worked. This place gets 4 stars because it did was it was advertised to do. There is nothing fancy here, but it is clean and functional.

  Stay somewhere else

  Incredibly thin sponges for beds , the room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. We told the staff and received no assistance but we're given a second tattered thin sponge to compensate. Waste of money.

  Filthy, OverPriced, old

  Not at all what the pictures show. The rooms are dirty. They are very old school. They have very small balconies that look straight into the other rooms as there is no curtians. Would never ever book here again. Not cheap at all.

  Functional and handy

  These apartments are in a terrific location in St Kilda, running behind Ackland St. Whilst nothing fancy, they were functional, clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure and the water was hot. I would say this building would not suit those who had physical disabilities, as we had to walk upstairs to where our room was and the shower was over a bath that had to be stepped over of course. The lounge sofas are hard and lumpy and most definitely need to be replaced, so not recommended to be lounging around on for any length of time. Overall, if you are wanting a clean, comfortable bed to sleep in for the night, then this place is definitely okay.

  Home Away From Home

  I stayed here for a few weeks. On arrival I was welcomed by friendly Manager and his wife, It was lovely to see a smile.I was pretty exhausted so a few mintues they helped me get my luggage up to a spacious apartment. Lounge , Kitchen , Bathroom and bedroom all seperated. Just accross the road from snazzy acland street , how good a location can you get too. During my stay I got to know the managers very well and they were always friendly. Helpful and told me some great attractions to chill and relax. It may have been a little run down , but the Managers wife had just had a bundle of joy and had to move as they were starting a family. I could see they were really trying to keep up the matienence , The cleaners were wonderful too, If I wanted Privacy they would not disturb me. But if I wanted room cleaned , I'd come back and find fresh sheets and vaccumed well. All dishes cleaned and scrubbed well. I thought about staying there on a short term basis up to 6 monthes and I discussed prices with management. Unfortunatly although they would have reduced the price , I still was unable to stay on a 6 month basis. but if ever I can afford it I would definitly stay, Love it and perfect location.
