  Good location, ok value

  The rather plain exterior of the Hotel Baeren appropriately reflects the no-frills interior. I received a very friendly and helpful reception when I arrived. The interior showed some age, but was clean and in good order. It is located very centrally in Wiesbaden, close to many upscale shops and restaurants in the pedestrian zone. It is about a mile from the central train station. My room was quite small; single bed, small shelf with desk area with chair. Small closed. Small, but adequate TV. The bathroom was tiny, All the fixtures were modern and in good order. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The only problem I had with the room was that it got quite stuffy. If I opened the window a lot of street noise came in. The undesired warmth was exacerbated by the European-style bedding, which consisted of a single, fluffy comforter which proved too warm. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Free unsecured wireless internet was available in my room. Some of my associates in other rooms indicated that they did not receive it in their rooms. Breakfast, included in the room price, was an excellent buffet. An array of meats, cheeses, fruits,breads, cereals and some hot dishes were available. My lunch in the Hotel's dining room was excellent and reasonably priced. The restaurant is also open for dinner. The hotel features thermal baths, at a small additional cost. I did not try them.

  My favorite hotel in the world.

  A last-minute booking at the Frankfurt book fair led me there; I always return. Wiesbaden is where the locals live--for good reason. It is covered by the train pass provided by the Frankfurt Messe and is well worth the travel time.

  Good business hotel in the center of Wiesbaden

  This hotel looks bland from the outside but it has many good features. The room was clean and smelled fresh and it had a big window that opened onto the small square in front of the hotel. It is located near the old center of town so there is a huge selection of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. A single person room was small, but if I compare it to a single room in parts of Asia, then it was larger than I expected. The bathroom was large, clean and well maintained. The room was well lit and provided a comfortable work space. They have free high-speed Wi-Fi. In most places in Europe you have to pay for high-speed Wi-Fi. They have a very nice breakfast buffet which serves breakfast till late, every day and not just on the weekend. The really unique feature is the free thermal bath in the basement. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

  Good Hotel & great location -Friendly staff & nice breakfast

  I can only recommend this hotel! If you are looking for a central place to stay in Wiesbaden this is a good deal. It's simple yet convenient. The staff were very helpful & friendly, the room clean and the breakfast was also excellent! Good location and ideal place to stay if you are on a budget. Plus wifi is free. The Bed was also very comfortable - I'll definitely come back again

  Old but clean

  I stayed in a singelroom on 1st floor. No view since it was in to a small courtyard, but then quiet and no streetnoice. Good bed, clean room but very thin walls. Could hear the man next door Skyping his wife just like as if he was sitting in my room. Breakfast, well good but the bread was not good, just small rolls you buy frozen. Why not get some fresh bread ? Staff was very friendly. The hotel is old and the rooms could do whit a touch up but it was a decent and clean hotel. WIFI worked just fine.
