    This hotel needs to be closed Urgently

    Arrived on saturday 11th May and checked in late afternoon. When you see the hotel from outside the building looks lovely. I like to have a room with a bath so i can have a nice relaxing bath especially having travelled from far. The below is what i found: 1. There were cracks around the bathtube and you can easily see the gap between the tube and the wall. This was supposed to be a superior room. one of those facing the front of the hotel. 2. The shower stand falls off from the stand and the raillings very unstable which is a trip hazard. 3. There were gaps between the doors which makes it noisy when you have load quests next door or just walking down the corridor. When i asked about this, i was told some quest like the gap between the door so that there bills can be slide through the gap. What a load of rubbish. why then is the gap not on every room door. 4. The shelves in the wardrobes are all falling off. The water is not flowing from the sink or bath. 5. The paintains on the walls coming off and you can see mould like color as a result of the gap in the bathroom which has affected the walls in the bedroom. I can go on and on. I told the reception the next day and they showed me 7 other different rooms and each had one problem or the other. I do honestly think there should be a regulator of hotels in abuja who can inspect and shut down any hotel that is not up to the standard. I read some review about insects and i totally agree. The next day they had some pest control personnel who where spraying insecticides in some of the rooms and corridors. The smell was horendous. Why not just shut down the hotel to do that? why sell rooms that are not habitable. I managed to stay because i had an early morning flight to catch the next day but the experience was horrible. The only good thing about this hotel is the roof top bar. However it was deserted while i was there. For a saturday and in abuja you will think is will be lively. The view from the roof top is magnificient. The didnt have choice drinks......everything you ask for that is on the menu wasnt available. I took a porter and showed them round the room and how bad it was. You can see that they agree withyou but are helpless because they cannot do anything about it. I will not stay here again until the fix this place because it is a dumb!

    An Example of What a Hotel Should NOT be: The Worst Hotel I have ever Stayed in

    From the horizon, you will think it is an amazing hotel. However, this is a mirage. Check in process was so slow with unprofessional attitude of the front desk officers. The drama was about to unfold. The first room i was given was a disaster. The wall paper was peeling off. Visible molds on the wall. I dashed to bathroom, opening the wash hand basin tap lead to flooding of the bathroom. I rejected that room. The other room was not fantastic. The air conditioner is a wall unit with no remote control. Worse still it was mounted high up in the room. To adjust the temperature, you must climb the table in the room. The supposed free wifi was not detectable all through my stay. The wardrobe handles have fallen off. House keeping was not top notched. The breakfast was nothing to write home about besides those foods could have come directly from the freezer. Then the shocker......the restaurant staff were packing food as if they were in competition with the guests. I think the hotel needs complete overhauling. I will not stay here again

    Really one of the worst hotel I have stayed, the staff nor very friendly, rooms not clean, smelly bathroom. Food really bad, the installations are not well maintained Wont come back ever Not pleasant Not hot water neither Not AC in the room

    I had a wonderful time at Barcelona hotel

    When i checked in, i had a warm welcome from the receptionist and they attended to me very well in fact i was having a rough day that very day but just the smiling faces i saw on the staffs i automatically became happy. Thumbs up for that.. And also had a nice night in my room.

    My stay in Barcelona Hotel was a memorable one. Their services right from the restaurant with sumptuous meals, room, staff and hygienic environment was something I will never forget. I enjoyed my stay, I was recommended by my business partner to always patronize their business centre and the fair guy there did a perfect job for me. I am giving them a thumb up cuz I never expected what I saw and how I was treated by their friendly and professional staff. The current pandemic, they have a well trained team that are there doing the needful to every guest who walked in. Congratulations Barcelona Hotel team Sir. PRINCE OLA DON KSM
