Get Away During CovidThe units are old and worn, but they served the purpose. Not fancy by any means. Rustic and basic would be a good description. That said, if you are ok with that, then I think you will enjoy your stay. We did and would stay again, as we liked the quietness and location to a number of hikes and Canmore.

Beautiful location, great cabinsPro: -Location, location, location. These units are in the middle of the mountains, 1 hour from Calgary, 5 minutes from Canmore, and 15 minutes from Banff. Every cabin has a spectacular view. -each is a huge cabin on its own with a large balcony. -kitchen is fully equipped: stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, as well as a supply of dishes, cutlery, etc. They even include garbage bags and soap for the dishwasher. -includes two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), a pullout sofa bed, two bathrooms with huge deep tubs, a gas fireplace, gas barbeque. Note: the cabins are two stories with one of the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs (in case you are unable to use stairs). The kitchen table has four chairs, there are two sitting chairs, and a sofa. -there is a swimming pool, hot tub, walking trails throughout, tennis courts. None of these were open due to COVID-19 and winter! -beds are very comfortable -cabins are huge, clean, and very comfortable. -they have a DVD player connected to the main TV and hundreds of DVDs to borrow at the front desk. -each cabin has its own hot water tank, and it was large, so there was no issue in regards to hot water. Cons: -Wifi is very week, good enough for emails etc. but not for viewing video. -TV only has 13 stations -No store, shops, or restaurants at the resort (so make sure you have all your supplies with you). -check in is later than most places 4:30 P.M. and check out is earlier than most places 10:30. A.M. -They charge a resort fee, which seems to be common, but really is a rip off, specially if you do not use any of the so-called amenities. -They do not allow pets. I can understand this though in that there are a lot of wild animals around and they do not want your pet disturbing them. Would I book again, YES. We stayed in one of the deluxe cabins so can not comment on the older ones, as many reviews comment on them being a bit run down. All I can say is that in the deluxe rooms everything worked perfectly. The views are some of the most spectacular in the world. We were there in the winter, the summers must be amazing. If you want a great cabin, in the middle of the mountains, these can not be beat.

Mountain HideawayThe property has rustic charm and is tucked away on a mountainside. Great location and staging area for hiking, biking, snowshoeing...you name it...and all within a short drive through beautiful rocky mountain scenery!

Perfect gateawayApproximately 20-30 min from Banff (and 10 min from Canmore). Great place to get some peace inn the middle of the great Canadian rookies. You'll be surrounded by the mountain all the time! The staff was great, relax. The site offer a couple of activities (basketball, swimming pool, tennis, hiking). You have to note that there's not a lot of amenities/activity in the 'town' (Dead's man flat), but you'll be only 10 min away from Canmore, which have plenty. The Chalet are great! Perfect for a small family. You'll have a gaz fireplace so it don't smell. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious enough. You'll also have a big great patio.
