  Beautiful hotel with beautiful grounds

  Beautiful hotel built on grounds of the Konstantin Palace. The landscaping and grounds of the hotel are stunning. We stayed in a one-bedroom Junior Suite which was very spacious and nice. The front desk and the staff is very helpful and nice. A definite "must" to visit.

  Beautiful hotel - horrible service

  Nice place very close to Costantin Palace but horrible food and service. Laundry is not giving back your dress until you didn't pay it in cash. I dirtied my sheets with tea and they did not changed it for 3 days. No chance to have different pillow or to change towel daily. Credit card is needed for all including just to open the frigobar. And all is fu.king expensive, much more then the quality of the services. Better to stay somewhere else in town and pay 1000 rubles to a taxi to go to visit Costantin Palace

  A dull lunch

  We visited as a group of 18 for lunch after touring the Konstaninovsky Palace. The hotel is very grand with no apparent expense spared in the decor. The restaurant is smart, but although we appeared to be the only party there the food was at best average. As elsewhere in Russia diners are watched like hawks, and plates removed as soon as they think you have finished (even if you hadn't) so four courses took barely 40 minutes. A request for a glass of wine to accompany the meal was met with a blank and somewhat aggressive "No". The cake dessert was somewhat stodgy. Not the greatest of meals, sadly, and certainly it did not match the grand surroundings.

  Bad smell, no internet, poor facilities

  I often travel to Strelna / Peterhof for business but it's most often 1-night tourist destination for those who visit Peterhof palaces. I usually choose another hotel but now tried Baltic star for the first time. Didn't have high expectations as it's a small town hotel and just for one night - just to have bed, shower and wi-fi. Still, I was unpleasantly surprised. 1. The room and especially bed linen has bad smell 2. No wi fi. Formally it's there but it completely doesn't work 3. Impossible to find a single working socket in the room, forget about sockets or light control near the bed. I found one socket behind the table 4. Mini bar formally exists but it's totally empty 5. Bed linen is of very poor quality, feels untidy and the smell 6. Bathroom facilities and hairdryer are from soviet era, poor quality I would cope with everything else but the smell and no internet :(

  A good look at first view but not recommend at all

  The rooms are clean and decorations are lovely, but breakfast is really bad; I hardly found something for eating! It's not close to the sea as it seems in the maps, 45 min walking and you can hardly find a taxi there. Stuff are friendly but not all of them speaks English and they were not helpful, even they had not any information about public transport around the hotel! There is nothing interesting around there, even no bicycle renting in the area and they did not offer any game or anything! it was my birthday, but they did not do anything as any 5star hotel does not even a happy birthday card! The travel agency booked this hotel for us in our trip to saint Petersburg. It was really a bad choice both for the hotel itself and also the location.
