  not ideal for wheelchair persons

  we stayed here in November 2019. we specifically asked question about disabled wheelchair access and were told the room was suitable. the entry on one side of the room was completely unusable for a wheelchair as it had a big step up. the other entry was just wide enough for the wheel chair and had a lip that we ended up having to buy a rubber ramp to use safely. the path from the car to the door was in very poor condition with concrete loose and broken. in the room there was very little turning space to be able to get into the bathroom. the toilet was too close to the wall. floor around the shower area has is a lip to stop the water running all over the floor but causes problems for a commode chair to be wheeled in. the main room has a lovely vinyl floor which is great for a wheelchair but the beds are on wheels so they tended to roll about. the beds are quite low and no raisers are provided. we had to purchase some and put under the queen bed to make it safe for my son to use. the kitchenette are was virtually unusable by him as he couldnt get at things. the stove is a double hotplate that I had to use in the bathroom along with the toaster so as not to set the smoke alarm off as there is no exhaust fan in the kitchen area. we did make the proprietor aware of some of these issues but they didnt seem interested in doing much. all in all for walking people it may be ok but for wheelchair users it is definitely not suitable.

  Tastefully renovated- Meal discount card

  The room was really small but OK for an overnight only. The bathroom and bedroom has everything you need, including a microwave. You are also provided with an honorary membership to the Sports Club nearby, which entitles you to Member pricing on meals and drinks. This alone saved us nearly $20.

  Good value for money motel

  Clean and comfortable stay. Renovated with modern bathroom. Nice air-conditioning with a unit per room. We liked the pool and lovely gardens outside our room. Undercover parking was good for hot days. Found the main room to be more cramped than expected but was fine for a one-night stay. The dining table inside was too small for our family of three. Ample benchtop space in the kitchenette with full-sized fridge and microwave, but no stovetop. Overall, good value for money for a short stay.

  Nice

  Good night's accommodation. Travelling for work and I appreciated the workspace and practicality of the establishment. Nice walk down to the river and conveniently located cafe. Unfortunately the carpark was cramped and the balcony was not private

  Pet friendly in a modern clean environment.

  We had to take our beloved Labrador with us at short notice so I was lucky to find availability at this motel. We were thrilled by the incredibly modern tidy and comfortable studio which looked almost brand new. The studios have their own entrance from the back of the motel where you can park outside your room. There is also a small private courtyard where you can have your meals. A terrific coffee shop is attached to the motel serving good food and Byron Bay coffee. I had booked without doing my usual research but was very, very pleased with the comfort of the room. Good new air conditioning, TV and comfortable bed. Highly recommended, with or without pets.
