Livingstone Wedding 19th July 2014Apologies for the late review. We would like to thank the all the staff for the excellent service that they provided over our daughter's wedding weekend. Ballathie is certainly a cut above most wedding venues, the location is amazing with its beautiful grounds and the river Tay running through the estate. The house offers a warm comfortable feeling retaining the original features adding charm to an already beautiful setting. The staff stayed calm and very supportive when a sight hic-cup with the Brides dress delayed the wedding by over 1 Hour. Gail the wedding co-ordinator did not flinch, she stepped in and organised a rescue plan. Jalal also saved the day as he provided a shirt for one of the groomsmen and his calm composed manner kept the wedding flowing. Chef and the waiting staff served a meal that all guests commented saying the food was excellent and the serving staff displayed their skills in a friendly, professional manner. I must say a big thank you to reception staff and the housekeeping staff it is not easy dealing with so many guests at such a stressful time. We had a brilliant weekend and a fantastic wedding I would highly recommend Ballathie as a Wedding venue you will not be disappointed. All hotels are made of stone it takes amazing staff to bring a hotel to life with their hard work, attitude and dedication this is certainly true of all staff at Ballathie. Thank you so much for making our day so memorable.

Super stayMy wife and I stayed here for dinner, bed and breakfast. The standards we have come to expect at Ballathie were even higher. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jamal the hotel manager. The food at dinner was just amazing. Beautifully presented and oh so delicious. We both had venison for our main and it was very tender. Our room was warm and comfortable. The breakfast was relaxed and all we could ask for. We are now saving up to return for another night in this excellent hotel.

Not impressed!I would love to review Ballathie House, I booked two garden rooms 6 months ago, 4 nights before I was die to arrive , was a night away for part of my 50th birthday, they called to say , sorry wedding on, so you can't get dinner or use of bar, hope that's okay ? No sorry, no reduction for lack of facilities, offer of taxi to eat elsewhere !! Not handy when 2 dogs with us and reason booked was so dogs could be with us in bar etc after a day out touring area. Not impressed !! Won't ever book there again as wouldn't risk being let down, not professional

Overnight breakThis is a lovely hotel situated in wonderful grounds next to the river Tay.we had a Riverside room in a lovely building a 5 minute walk from the main hotel. The room was tastefully furnished the bed was large and very comfortable we had a balcony overlooking the Tay the view was magnificent. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk from our room to the hotel,we were very fortunate with the weather, cold but sunny The bar was very comfortable with a roaring fire. The restaurant served superb food but the best thing about this hotel is the staff they are excellent nothing is too much trouble they have the ability to make you special This was our second visit to the hotel last time we were in the main hotel which was lovely too. We will definitely return again and again and again
