  Good facility - not very soundproof

  We enjoyed our overnight stay - it is walking distance to Sovereign Hill. This place is large enough to be suitable for a longer stay and we got a good deal. Yes it is a bit dated, and definitely needs a paint and freshen up, but the 2 bedroom apartment had everything we needed. Our friends had the place next door, their carpet was heavily stained. Ours had a new oven. The courtyard is a nice area, even though it can be really noisy with (our) kids and an echo! One complaint is that the stairs are very noisy and every single floor board upstairs creaked. There is no sort of soundproofing between floors! And the toilet barely has room for you to get in the door (narrowly misses the toilet). Otherwise only little things like hair in the bath plug hole and the kitchen drawers needed a good wipe down inside and out.

  Nice but getting a bit tired

  I stayed at the mews for three nights. The unit was a two bedroom with a lot of space. Nice courtyard. The hotel next door now manages the site and this makes it convenient to charge meals to your room. The rooms are dated and need a upgrade. The Pricing is a little bit high for the condition of the room.

  The Creakiest floors I have ever heard

  The Mews is clean and comfortable enough, but nothing at all to write home about. The slowest wifi EVER!!!! Wildly creaking top floor, no toilets in downstairs living area and arriving only to discover you have to head up the road to check in at another motel. It wasn't horrible ..... but I am sure there is much better out there.

  Ok for overnight stay

  First impression not good the carpet could do with a good scrub or better still replace it, could not believe there was no toilet down stairs, and toilet very small. Check cooking utensils are clean.For $170 per night I think you would do better staying elsewhere.

  Excellent family accommodation

  Very pleased with this spot in Ballarat. Gorgeous courtyard surrounded by apartments- very English. Stayed in a 2 storey, 2 bed apartment- 1st place this trip to actually have 3 single beds set up for us. Fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer big bonus. Only 1 bathroom in the apartment the only negative comment- 5 people and 1 toilet a bit of a juggle! Billy's Bistro well worth a visit while there. 2 mins to Sovereign Hill which is why we were in Ballarat.
