  3 nights - Port View - Loved Location, proximity to Train Station and Supermarket

  Stayed here 3 awesome nights! Only 5min walk from train station and you walk to Tourist Info Bureau en route! Upgraded to a great port view gorgeous room upon arrival! Beautiful views of the port and only 10min walk up to Citadelle! Awesome! Very clean and huge room with mini fridge! Bought some wine and snacks and supermarket 2min next door. CAN get very noisy until 1:30am being on top of a central town circle but if you shut the huge french doors, sound isn't too bad. LOVED it here for convenience, pricing, friendly receptionists, and location! Would definitely stay here again!!! :0)

  Simple, Fairly Basic, Great location

  After a few days staying with local friends near Ajaccio, we looked for a couple of nights in a more "touristy" scene, with a dog. Balanea, right on the harbour front in Calvi fitted the bill! Things didn't start too well; having been told that we could drive up to the hotel to drop our bags before parking in a reserved space in a public car park nearby, the hotel had omitted to mention that access to the hotel became a pedestrian only area after midday! After about 20 minutes failing to get access, we abandoned the car and searched for the hotel on foot. After all that was eventually sorted out, and the car was safe in its allocated space, within view of the hotel, all went well. The room on the first floor was spacious, minimally furnished in a rather cheap modern style but had a super balcony with great views right overlooking the water. The bed and the bathroom were fine. There was a "cafeteria" in the hotel for breakfast, but it didn't look too good so we found cafés in the town which were better. Prices were reasonable, so all-in-all the hotel was fine and exactly fulfilled what we wanted.

  Lovely view

  This hotel has a great location if you want a view. The room was like a hostel for back packers rather than a 3 star hotel. The breakfast room was extremely poor being too many chairs and tables like a school room. We had paid for porterage but the hotel could not provide it and the walk with our bags was extremely difficult from the transport which could not get near the hotel due to its position in the streets. There was no restaurant in the hotel so it was necessary to walk along cobbled streets up steep hills to get to a restaurant or down to bars below the hotel which were open till late. The staff were nice but they lacked facilities to make a good stay. I would not recommend it.

  Good Position

  This hotel is down a pedestrian street so you will have to carry your bags to it. The interior is dated but clean. We had a sea view room which had air conditioning. The shower was OK but not really good. Breakfast had a reasonable selection. There is a bar area with a balcony overlooking the sea off it.

  Great location

  We stayed here for one night whilst visiting Corsica The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the train station. If you are driving or coming by taxi, you won't be able to drive up to the front door as it's on a pedestrian steet The hotel is superbly situated. It's right in the heart of the Old Town by the shops, two minutes from the harbour and 5 minutes from the citadelle. The beach is less than a 10 minute walk away. The staff greeted us in a friendly manner and showed us up to our room. The room was quite large and brightly decorated and very clean with a view over the back street and up towards the citadelle. We were advised of free WiFi but no matter how many vouchers we tried we couldn't connect. When we raised this at reception we were told that it was because we had Samsung phones and they weren't compatible with their WiFi. When 50% of phones sold around the world are Samsung, this just isn't acceptable so needs to be rectified. But apart from this inconvenience, the hotel was of a good standard, clean and tidy with helpful staff. But it's main plus point is it's excellent location and reasonable prices.
