  Golf party - Just Brilliant!

  Stayed for five nights at the Bailey Ground and can't recommend it highly enough. Nice comfortable hotel, rooms have everything you need from them. The situation is stunning - right on the beach with sea views. Everyone in the hotel seems to vacate to watch the sun setting to the West every night and you can't blame them - it's stunning! Staff were exceptional but special mention must go to Stuart the Chef who simply served up magnificent food for five days. In regard to local golf, we played Whitehaven, Maryport, Eskdale and Seascale which were al brilliant. Can't recommend the area highly enough and we're already booked in for next year!

  Lovely night stay

  Well what a lovely night stay we had a big room with a fantastic sea view. Great location of hotel right on beach and a fantastic park for children. We stayed on Saturday night so bar and restaurant wasn't open but we knew this before going to hotel and that didn't bother us we got fish and chips in room.

  Absolutely Lovely!

  Breakfast is lovely, hosts and staff are lovely. Rooms are clean. The bar is reasonably priced. The hotel has a lovely view of the coast from our room and there are also local shops within walking distance of the hotel which is convenient for work.

  Keegan and Lee best ever experience

  Thanks boys you played a blinder. We arrived there from been turned away from the hotel we had booked after a two and a half hour drive at 9 at night. Clean tidy well equipped, don't let the outside put you off its what's inside that matters, the boy's. We sat in the bar [ me my wife and daughter] having a moan about the other hotel and we had 2 garlic bread pizza's home made, when we finished out of no where came 3 chocolate brownies and ice cream " on the house after the night you have had", made my night that little bit of attention. The lads even tried to find us a restaurant for the following night as my friends where up to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and they where now 40 miles from us. Beds comfy, bathroom clean tidy and all in working order, breakfast great. Can it be improved in any way, not really it is what it is where it is, a sea front hotel in a fishing place. Will I go back, why not liked it the first time but I bet I dont get treated better than this time, thanks boy's.

  Restaurant food

  We ate here twice during our stay in another village. There were five of us and each had a different meal, the food was gorgeous; it was freshly prepared and generous portions. The Carbonara was described as the 'best we've ever tasted'. Cumberland and mash shown in pic - so good I had it both times!
