  Comfortable Stay in Chinese 5-class Hotel/Apartment

  We (family of 6) stayed in Baifuyi Apartment just for holiday. Apartments are integrated in 5-star Baifuyi Hotel but with separate lobby. Check-in was easy, even if it took a while because of the official procedures (they need to copy every single passport). Concierge was very helpful, English skills were fine. 3-bedroom Apartment was just spaceous. Beds were comfortable and they come to clean every day. If you would not inform them that you need tableware - you will find an almost empty kitchen (like we do). But after a short conversation, everything was arranged perfectly. You can reach Metro Station as well as Sanlitun bar street within 10-15 minutes walk. Convenient store is next to the hotel. Restaurants are nearby. We had a very good stay and experience, so we will choose Baifuyi for our next stay for sure.

  Modern hotel in a good location

  I stayed here for 2 nights recently with a colleague for business. Hotel location is convenient for the airport and the Sanlitun area with lots of very good shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel entrance is grand and welcoming. Reception staff spoke just enough English to manage check-in ok. The room was apartment-style with a small galley kitchen, which you need to ask to be stocked otherwise you'll find it empty. The room was very spacious, comfortable and most importantly clean. Bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast buffet was superb with lots of choice on offer. They cook eggs any way you like if you ask. We struggled to get a drink in the ground floor bar one evening. Staff did not speak English and they did not understand what we wanted. After pointing and trying to get a variety of different drinks, we managed to get a very large vodka and can of coke. The Yeezee bar upstairs was actually a very cool bar. Not operated by the hotel and you can only pay by cash or WePay, which wasn't convenient for us, but the bar staff spoke very good English and made excellent Mojitos. Wish we discovered this bar on the first night. Overall, it was a pretty decent stay and good value for money.

  Stayed in apartment

  Was booked on the apartment room and it was so large and spacious! It has a kitchenette, table for 4, wardrobe, TV, chest of drawers and still so much space left, I don't know what to do with it! It was clean and I liked that the wooden floor makes it easy to know the housekeeper did a really good job in daily cleaning! Toiletries are provided. Breakfast has a large spread and the hot food was mainly catered to local tastes. The items are pretty much 95% same everyday, but I must say, this is already one of the best places I stayed! Good food, helpful reception staff, clean and totally smoke-free room. It is a convenient hotel for business, maybe not so for tourists. But there are some eateries nearby and they are pretty decent! I also walked up to 20 minutes to other malls and restaurants to try other food.

  Comfortable hotel

  Baifuyi is a nice hotel located on South Erlizhuang Dongzhimen Street, about a 3 minute walk north of Dongzhimen Outer St and about half a mile east of Dongzhimen Subway station. There are express train and express bus services to and from Beijing Capital Airport at this station. The room was nice and large, equipped with a safety deposit box, the bed comfortable, the washroom clean. However I found the rooms electronic Do Not Disturb sign outside the door became unlit sometimes for some unknown reason. The hotel is non-smoking but occasionally there was a strong smoking smell in the hallway. Communication with the hotel staff was often difficult because of the language barrier. Often time a young Russian woman came to the rescue. Her name is Lydia. She speaks Chinese and English. She told me she was from Novosibirsk and had worked at the hotel for a number of years. The TV channels were almost all in Chinese. Google is blocked in China therefore gmail is also not available. I found breakfast at the hotel restaurant too pricey. However, there is a Pizza Hut on the corner with Dongzhimen Outer St. Also in the Dongzhimen Subway area there are two McDonalds, a KFC, Auspicious Phoenix bakery across the street from the station, Family Mart and a Chinese food court with many food stalls. At one of the McDonalds I ordered a Big Mac but did not eat it because the meat did not look like beef to me. Language problem prevented me from asking what it was. Taxi fare in Beijing consists of a drop fare of 13 yuan + 2.30 yuan per kilometer + waiting time. The concierge can arrange a trip for you to visit the Great Wall using their partner tour agency.

  Good central hotel

  I recently stayed here on business and thought it was a very good hotel. Reception were really friendly although English was a bit challenging at times. The room was large and really comfortable. My only challenge was how hot the room was as they had switched the aircon into winter mode andthe room was pretty warm. Breakfast in the hotel was fine with a large choice of Asian and European food. The gym had plenty of equipment and was hardly used, so no waiting to get onto machines was a bonus. Checkout was also painless and everything happened smoothly and efficiently. I really cant fault the hotel at all.
