    Simple, Peaceful Escape

We had been looking for a last minute beach shack not too far from the airport and stumbled across this little gem. What it lacks in style and services, it more than makes up for in simplicity and and a quiet calm that few places manage. It's not a hotel, you will have to sweep your own floors, but we prefer to cook for ourselves and loved the BBQ with a view in our little garden. There is little you need to do apart from wandering down to the beach and back for lunch, then watch the little ones in the playground or pool over a spritz. Your beach umbrella is yours for the week, so we didn't have to lug our beach toys up the hill each day. This was a revelation! It's not the best beach in the area (tough competition with Brandinchi nearby), but we loved it. Never crowded, shallow clear water and no waves - perfect for our little one. It became quite social among the residents down there, everybody would sit and chat (as best we could). If you want to eat out there are many options within a 5/15 min drive - Blue Bar was our favourite, the views are lovely and the piazza is fun for kids. Salinedda's on site restaurant is good, but you need to book well in advance as they only offer one sitting per table and some guests are on half board. It's a bit 'fine dining' for the bungalow crowd. Not cheap, especially with children. We offered to eat quickly at 7.30 pm but they weren't interested and would only offer us a table at 10 pm. With a 3 year old. We had a one bedroom (two room) bungalow with a partial sea view. It, like a lot of the complex, was a bit tired and could do with a minor refurb. That said, we never ran out of hot water, the air con worked, we had enough storage and it felt like a little corner of paradise. Management seems to take on board a lot of the comments here - we had a kettle, basic supplies etc unlike some reviews. We would definitely return. POSITIVES The beach with reserved lounger and snack bar. The view from our garden with BBQ Normal-ish sized fridge freezer for our gelato! Play area for kids. Peace and quiet. Friendly environment, both staff and guests. Close to Olbia and San Teodoro if you want more excitement. Close to some amazing beaches. Plenty of mini markets in the area - just off the main road to Olbia. NOT SO POSITIVES A little run down over all. Portapotty is the only toilet at the beach. Pool area is a bit tired. Restaurant doesn't work for clientele not on half board, kids food is expensive. A change of linens or towels mid week would have been nice. This may be a bookable extra? Our bath towels needed washing half way through, but the laundry area is free to use. We would have loved some doormats. We were using hand towels to wipe our feet on after the sandy walk up from the beach. Even using the foot shower twice, we carried a tonne of sand indoors each day. Lots of sweeping!

2nd year, next year will be 3rd.....

Last year we left really satisfied and we decide to come back this year. We spent here almost 3 weeks. Special thanks to Mr. Paolo, the director. Always available to satisfy our wishes, from reservation to our stay. Private beach is a fantastic opportunity to relax and enjoy the sea. Recommended!

    Great value for money

Simple, clean and spacious accommodation - our one-bedroom chalet was nearly 50m2, with a patio and garden, and lovely views over the sea. The property is basic but sufficient, and only 200m down a sandy lane to the private beach, where our sun-loungers and umbrella were reserved just for us for the whole week (if you ask the lifeguard!). On-site restaurant was a bit expensive but had lovely views and the food was excellent - especially the fish. Only real drawback for some people was that it was about 2km from the main road and nearby villages - but that meant there were some lovely walks, and there were other low-rise developments nearby
