Wonderful wonderful wonderful!Forget any of the negative reviews you have read about this place! We were not sure what to expect having read too much, but truly, from the first step on the island we felt welcome. We opted for the transportation to our hotel and there was the coach and driver waiting for us with an easy to read sign, checked of our names, handled our bags with a lovely friendly smile and whisked us away. We got our bracelets on and went for a delicious lunch with 20 different salads, water and wine hot meal choices of six or seven different optionsall with white linens, cutlery and sparkling clean. The staff in the restaurant are always smiling, kind, and ready to serve you in any way they can. Our room was then allotted and Logan cheerfully took our bags and showed us to our delightful cottage. He was gone before we could even tip him. Everything is clean and smells clean too. All the rooms are non-smoking. W have our own little patio with four chairs and a table. The beach is about a 10 walk and there are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas, with a lifeguard just for the hotel guests. Some reviews had mentioned the cold breakfast...not true! Eggs, meat, sausages, potatoes and two coffee machines....never much waiting....all sorts of croissants and patisseries available. There are activities for those interested, but the young organizers are so thoughtful...stopping to chat and to see if you you would like to participate in any activity. Pool looks lovely too. The sea water is a bit chilly on getting in mid-October but very refreshing...water is clear and beautiful. There are lovely walks and smaller beaches all along the coast. I dont know when we have had a nicer holiday!

Nice placeNice hotel. Just a short walk to the center of Porto Ottiolu. We had an ok room in the main bulding with a nice terrace, only missing was a table on the terrace. Ok breakfast but a little boring after a couple of days. Large swimming pool on a nice outside area and only a short walking distance to the beach. Very nice staff, especially at the reception.

Great Value, But Needs ImprovementWithout doubt our holiday 22 September - 6 October 2018 was the best value holiday we've ever had. We've done 14 Neilson holidays in several Greek resorts and this would be bottom of our league - but you can still have a great holiday here. Pro's and con's to follow. Food: Three tasty meat dishes and one fish for each lunch and dinner. Masses of salad ingredients, cold meats, mixed salads, hot vegetables and fresh fruit. Unfortunately, the "hot" food was invariably cold or lukewarm - I'm OK with that except for breakfast, faced with cold eggs, bacon and sausage. Oh and the bacon can be used for parchment if required. Bar and restaurant staff: efficient but generally very off hand - you will not get the warm welcome that is customary in Greece Reception staff: friendly, efficient, with good English. Accommodation: single story six and four bedroom chalets set in a site containing a sparsely populated forest - it's very pleasant. Our chalet was adequate, clean, modern furniture, shower, no bath. We heard people who were in six rooms blocks that the rooms were too small.

Nice hotel but rooms need an upgrade. We stayed in this hotel for 1 week in September. I would give it a good rating but that wasn't an option so I've gone for very good, but it wasn't quite. The Pool area is very nice with a distant view of the sea and lovely views of the hills around. The Port is a ten minute walk and the beach is a 5 minute walk albeit through a sort of dirt track amongst vegetation, and then you have to clamber between a gap in the wall! It is a lovely beach though. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very basic. The grounds are attractive but could do with more maintenance i.e bushes trimmed, weeding, grass cut more regularly etc. The rooms were basic, no coffee facilities, cheap furniture and thin walls although the bed was comfortable and room cleaned every day. Shower was reliable. The service from the staff was friendly. Sardinia is great and the beaches are out of this world. I would recommend this hotel but its realistically a 3 start so don't expect too much.
