  Un oasis verde

  EStuvimos hace dos años en este oasis verde, disfrutando de la naturaleza tanto de dia como en la noche ( con el rumor de la selva) y donde se aprecia que no hace falta mucho de la sociedad moderna para disfrutar de la vida. Recomiendo a los amantes de la naturaleza este lugar.

  Wonderful stay in wild haven

  100% naturally.I have no words to explain these little haven.So beauty full ,silence wild experience for us.kindly hospitality and good foods fresh juice, Rooms are very comfortable and clean.nice place.

  Once in a lifetime experience

  We stayed for 4 nights in December in a boulder cottage, the team were kind enough to arrange a night in a tree house for us too! The staff there could not be more helpful and kind. They are clearly so passionate about their work and their resort. There are monkeys and wildlife all around, beautiful. Back of beyond really is in the middle of nowhere as the name suggests. Be prepared for bumpy tracks to and from, it is not easy to just pop in and out of. I think you have to come here looking for peace and space though so why try and get back to hustle and bustle while youre there? The accommodations are really exposed to the elements which can take some getting used to as a city dweller. Bring bug spray and use the nets. You are at one with nature, back to basics. Open roofed shower rooms mean that little guests can join you as they please. Solar heated water means you may have the odd fresh shower and there is a limit on water. The food was really excellent, plentiful and varied. The safari trip was incredible and we learnt and saw so much, we also really enjoyed a sunset boat bird watching trip it was truly stunning. I was 16 weeks pregnant at the time and they could not have been more accommodating and caring toward me, truly lovely. It was a great experience.

  Great place .. beautiful mornings ... amazing staff.. and time spent with the manager Kallum n the efforts he n his staff made were out of the world ... thanks a ton to them to make the trip so memorable ...

  Amazing wilderness experience - worth it

  We were aware that we had booked a glamping site but we never quite expected it to be this close to nature! Living in a tree house with a few hemp or coir curtains and one side completely open, made us a bit nervous on the first day. Well, it took some time to let the reality sink in and we went on to enjoy it! Lovely locale with natural streams nearby. The staff and chef were extremely courteous and genuinely service-oriented. The chef was simply awesome and encouraged us to try the local cuisines. Delicious food every time. Obviously, this place is a bit difficult to reach by normal transport. Either you need to use their SUV or use the local "auto-rickshaw" (tuk-tuk). We were so surprised to see how the tuk-tuk so adventurously navigated the bumps and pits. A bit bumpy ride but that's what you can expect in the wild nature! Good place to stay since you could visit Sigiriya rock or Polonnurwa or other historic sites. Make sure you return to the camp before sunset - heed the advice from the staff. On one evening when we were late, it was absolutely pitch dark and we suddenly encountered a small family of elephants and another single elephant on the way, just a few meters away. The manager who was driving the vehicle was well trained to handle the situation and managed it well, much to our trepidation. If you have time, do take a dip in the beautiful, cold stream beyond the dining hall. How long ago did you take a bath in the natural waters? There is also a nice swing on the other side - which your kids will enjoy. There is absolute zero connectivity here and no possibilities of any communication with the insane world outside! Unless, you go to the town. You cannot have a better digital detox than this! Of course, it sounds a bit of pricey. Well, to maintain such a place in its natural environment and at the same time, make it liveable is not easy. It's once in a life-time experience. Enjoy folks!! Do not miss it.
