  Don't get sick

  The idea of this place is wonderful. What a great way for a family with young children to have a ski week. We were unfortunate to have everyone in our family get sick at one point during the trip. Of course these things happen. However, we were treated poorly by the hotel management because they thought we'd get everyone else sick. I certainly understand this, but once our children were better, we went to the expense of going to the local doctor to "prove" they were no longer contagious so they could go to the daycare part of the hotel while the adults skied. Despite the doctor's assurance that the children were ok, the owner refused to allow our children to attend. The owner was overly paranoid and treated us as an annoyance while catering to other guests. I was really disappointed in the entire experience. We had heard wonderful things about the place and I still have a hard time reconciling our experience with the rave reviews.

  Great place for families with small kids

  very pleasant and relaxing. The food was amazing for children and for the adults. Very kind and helpful staff. Lots of fun activities for children. Small pool but it was never crowded. Rooms had all possible amenities for babies/small children.

  Family skiing holiday in Austria...

  This has been our 4th year at the BabyMio hotel. As the name implies this is not your regular hotel for couples or families in general; thus is the place you go when you want to go skiing with small children. The whole hotel is made to measure for families with small children, so hearing little ones screaming in the morning, in the afternoon and the evening is the absolute norm as it is having them running around and through your legs while youre walking around. This is not an exaggeration; simply put, this hotel is made for kids, the parents are just there to keep company... and to pay the bill of course. A nice spa, hot water pool with outside basin has been equipped over time. The food is the absolute best; I am Italian and very picky and critical about hotel food, especially in the German speaking countries... this gets a 10 out of 10 as far as Im concerned, for variety, rate, quality of ingredients and their preparation. With the small but cosy skiing station of Kirchdorf at walking distance, the kids can go skiing at the local school for an entire week from 9.30 to 15.30 and parents get some time for themselves and to go skiing in the nearby top notch skiing resorts of St. Johan, Kitzbühel or Steinplatte. If youre looking for a family hotel on the snow dont look any further. Price with all inclusive is absolutely affordable (we paid 1400 for 2 adults and 2 children). Skiing school and access to skiing resorts is NOT included. This is the only reason why I have not given this place 5 stars.

  Everything for a vacation with small children

  We stayed for 1 week together with our 2-year old son. I must say that it was a pleasant experience. The cliche of "when my kid is happy, I'm happy" really applies here. Everywhere in the hotel, everything is foreseen for children. You don't have to worry about a seat for your kid, a plate, fork, spoon, ... The service is excellent. The staff is really kind and is used to handling children. Nothing bad to say about that. :-) Our room was up to standard and clean. Ok, you could comment that it could maybe use an upgrade, but the classical Austrian style has it's charme. If we need to give 1 remark, the balcony of our room was next to the room of our son. That didn't make it easy to enjoy it in the evening/afternoon while he was sleeping. But that was no deal breaker for us. There are lot's of things to do in the area. They are nicely displayed at the reception and a folder in your room. We enjoyed Triassic Parc and the bike rides. We will come here again. :-)

  A dream for families with a baby/toddler

  We stayed here in June with our toddler. This was really a dream for us to be in such a baby/toddler friendly environment. Not being at home but still not having to worry about a thing. Everything that parents need at your disposal, baby food in jars, milk, baby food upon request, baby carriers, bikes,.. The feeling that your toddler is safe even when closing your eyes for a second when youre lying in the garden. And the feeling not having to being ashamed when your little one is crying or making a scene, since were all parents with babies/toddlers. The staff at the reception, restaurant, baby care and housekeeping are so nice and considerate. The room and all the rest of the hotel was so clean!!! Thumbs up to housekeeping also for their flexibility.  Our daughter was very pleased with the play box (adapted for her age) in the room. We also enjoyed the babyswim course, she felt so comfortable in the water. They also have a variety of other courses for example wall climbing on the hotel side wall, couple massage, babymassage, papa-baby hike. Furthermore outside swimming pool area is fenced. We particularly enjoyed the wellness area, sauna, hammam,  Swimming pool both inside and outside have warm and enjoyable temperature, ideal for our daughter with nice features as massage streaming and bubbles. The outside swimming pool is so nice. We so much enjoyed our evening swims there! We also used the baby care a few times, Manuela was so loving and nice and took so good care of her. Our daughter felt so at ease with her. They also do nice activities with the kids as for example go and visit the hares that they keep on the property. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served as buffet. To be honest some days better than others. But I bet that is the case in any restaurant that has buffet.  All in all a great variation of food. Also very nice was the daily journal with weather forecast and tips, displayed on every dinner table. Normally we want to try out a different hotel/destination every year but this time, now with our toddler, we are already considering going back to this hotel. This is so ideal for all our needs in this moment of our life.
