  good location and nice view

  Baan Rabieng has a great location where it is 1 minute away from beach. And it's 1 minute walk to 711 convenient store and other different stores which made my vocation really awesome. Highly recommend to other travellers. I spent 200 bahts to rend the motorcycle for a whole day from there receptionist and ride it to travel the whole island. And 250 bahts for breakfast if you eat at the resort. They would bring the meal to your room. Nice service. One unhappy thing during my stay was the broken lock of my washing room. I was locked 3 times in the washing room, which really made me unhappy although my bf asked for help from reception and they were fast to open the lock. Be awared that the lock was broken and both of me and my bf tried to keep the washing room door open but the door alway closed by itself. lol Hope they already fixed the lock. Anyways the view is nice and the receptionists are very helpful and kind. I will definately go back to stay in the future. The rooms were made by woods. Be prepared for the ants before you departue.

  Such a lovely place in good location!

  We loved our time spend in this place! The owner family and stuff was really nice and helpful,rooms were comfortable and clean,good A/C,room service perfect! Great comfort for that price. We had a nice view to the garden and beach,which is only few steps far. Also 7eleven supermarket and delicious streetfood is nearby. You can hire scooter or arrange great boat trips for good price at the reception.

  Close to perfect IMHO

  Lovely little place just a few meters from beach. Our sea-view room had a whirlpool bath from which to watch the sunset. Room very spacious and with best WiFi Ive had anywhere in Thailand. And because its at the end of the hotel strip, we found it very peaceful. Pretty hard to fault really.

  Dont trust the photos.

  We booked a standard room for 4 nights. We did not receive the room advertised in the photos. Our room was wooden with holes in the floor boards where the outside wood had fallen off. Lots of gaps elsewhere as well. Our first night we had a cockroach which was not the most pleasant experience. We complained and were told we could move for our third and fourth night but wed have to pay extra. We complained that the room was not as advertised and were told theres 5 standard rooms, 2 as in the photos and the other 3 are wooden and old. Even the view is different. Dried grass and a building in front of the sea view and washing to the other side. We have booked a resort further along the road for the remainder of our visit. Brand new room and 500baht a night cheaper. Swimming pool and direct beach access. The staff are ok as is the Wi-fi and the superior is nice but overpriced. If we had not prebooked we would have left after the first night. Dont trust the standard room photos..

  Lack of atmosphere in an average hotel

  We spent here our last night on the island. The place is ok, the room was very spacious and clean but I find that the property lacks character. Ok for 1 night or 2 but i personally would not spend my entire vacation here! The design of the shower was very odd, with no doors/curtains around it but only a non functional channel where the water is supposed to drain thru ... thus flooding the whole bathroom. Booked a standard roon via hotels.com, when we arrived in tge mornibg, the lady at the reception tried to charge us for an upgraded room as she did not have a standard room ready yet. We told her we would not pay but we had no problems waiting. She gave us the deluxe room at no extra cost!
