  The location of this hotel was very poor.It is situated on the side of a mountain! It was about 30 min walk from town up which I can only describe as a ski run, it was that steep. We were unable to walk down safely because of the steepness. The hotel provided transport but this was infrequent and only left the hotel if someone wanted to go into town, so if you were already in town you had a long wait. We ended up walking anyway. Our heart rate was treble by the time we got here.The hotel never provided any of the amenaties promised ie pool bar,which was out of use for the whole 7 nights,no jaccuzi. There was nothing but a pool. Breakfast was very good, but no other meals were served there during the day, even though this was stated. We tended to stay in the town until late so we could eat. One day we went back to the hotel in the afternoon and could not face the walk up down and back up the hill so we didnt eat that night. I would not recommend this hotel.

  Friendly Staff and in a quiet location

  Upon reading the two reviews posted 4-3 years ago i thought that this place needed a updated review. I was staying at the hotel with 3 friends after having backpacked around Thailand for 3 weeks. Once we reached Phuket, we were over the beaches and found Patong too full of Tourists compared to the rest of the trip. So this hotel was just what we needed, a peace of serenity where you can see the happenings of the town but still relax near the tiny pool. I would recommend this hotel for people who just want a place to stay and relax. The hotel is situated on the hill, and is about a 10minute bus drive to Patong center. The hotel staff was very nice and picked us up numerous times. The first night, when we wanted to catch the bus, we booked too late but they paid for our tuk tuk down (200baht). The number on their card to book the bus is a bit confusing as it has a 49-51 at the end. We were told that there are three numbers that can end it 49. 50 or 51. So call all three numbers if you cannot get a hold of the bus that comes every 2 hours (finishes at 22:00). Sometimes we could not get a hold of them, so just keep calling, its a free service that comes so you cant be picky (Or just get a TUK TUK). Once they could not find us, and traveled to all the Macdonalds in Patong. Which was very nice of them. The other reviewers complained about the bus, but we also stayed at the merlin beach resort further up the road from this hotel and that FREE bus only went to the town center 4 times a day. So i don't know what they were complaining about. Like another reviewer stated, the hotel is far from town, so eat in Patong or you could eat at the restaurant next door (a bit pricey but nice). The hotel was quiet, which was great because we had the pool all to ourselves and we could relax and enjoy the space. There is a "pool bar" that doesn't run because there are not enough guests. But we took our drinks and drank it there. There is free wi-fi in the lobby and a computer to use. Just ask the kids to use it after (because this is their computer as well). Rooms were always immaculate, but the towels are a bit old. But you can never expect the world in a 2 star hotel. We have been in worse 2 start hotels in Thailand, where rooms were gross, service was bad. So this place was fantastic compared to them. I can't get over how accommodating the staff were. They were always polite and let us check out late without a fee. It was sad to leave as they always trying to help and tell us where to get things cheaper. I would recommend people to stay here if you are not that big on Patong night life and if you are worried about natural disasters, this place is on a hill!

  Perfect hotel to stay in Phuket

  Great experience to stay with Baan Nern Sai, Phuket This hotel is far from the beach. But a perfect location for couples as its very peaceful. Rooms are very clean and beautiful. The restaurant here just serves breakfast. Very helpful staff. Moppet rent is available on the property. Pool view rooms has private sun deck to relax in the evening. I would rate this hotel as 9 out of 10.

  Quiet, peaceful, safe, accommodating...what else?

  I really had a great time with this hotel. The place is perfect. They serve basic breakfast. And the staff... WOW!!! Very nice and accommodating. Free wifi on the lobby... Big rooms, clean towels, fantastic mountain view, HEAVEN!. There's a beach transfer every 2 hours interval (saving your money for tuk tuk ride which cost TBH250). I would recommend this hotel to those in a budget. You pay less but you will be treated as if you are VIP. I would definitely go back.

  away from the hustle and bustle, very peaceful

  lovely hotel, nice pools, pleasant staff, great views as situation on a hill. we stayed there for 4 days before flying out to koh samui for the full moon party. yes there are better hotels, but for our budget it was perfect. after some serious clubbing in and around patong beach it made a nice sobering walk back to the hotel up the hill. distance wise its about a 10-15 minute walk at a leisurely pace...not a chore at all and very enjoyable in the early hours of the morning.
