  The best motel

  Stopped off here on a road trip and were delighted with the Travellers Rest. Original building was several squash courts and this explains the large rooms and bathroom all newly renovated with separate sitting areas on the mezzanine level which also has rooms. Restaurant was excellent and a big thank you to Kim for making our stay so enjoyable. Lots of parking out the back and hose facilities to wash down the Burdekin snow.

  What an AWESOME place!

  Friendly welcome. Great value. The rooms are lovely and modern, not to mention very clean. Bathrooms are huge. Make sure you eat here. The staff were very accommodating, fitting a table of 7 in at the last minute. Loads to choose from on the menu. The food came out very quickly and was delicious! Stay here you will not regret it.

  Wonderful welcoming service

  Nice and modern. Clean and crisp rooms. Delicious food. Its important to book the restaurant because it is very popular with the locals. Will definitely stay here again when kids have tennis in Home Hill.

  We would definitely stay here again!

  We stayed in Ayr last night at the Ayr Travellers Motel. It was a delightful stop. The room had everything we could need, as well as being incredibly clean, it had a very comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. The Motel itself was delightful, filled with colourful and stylish decor, it had comfortable incidental seating and as well as great books to read, a car play mat for children. It is obviously a well looked after Motel. We ate dinner and breakfast there in the lovely dining room, and both meals were lovely. I have Coeliac Disease and was able to be easily looked after with a totally gluten free meal. We would stay here again.

  Perfect place

  We had a long day on the road and needed to stop somewhere for a night. This is the perfect place!! As soon as we arrived the staff were friendly, smiling and helpful just what u need after a long day to lighten the mood, we had dinner in the restaurant food was ok and the service provided was just amazing, Then off to bed, room was exceptionally clean, comfortable and has everything u need. I could not fault this place, we had a great experience and was a pleasant place to stay. Would definitely recommend it.
