  Wonderful Stay. Look Forward to coming back one day!

  First time in Illfracombe (sadly only for the one night) but so glad we stayed here at the Avoncourt Lodge and will certainly try and stay here again for a longer visit to really explore the area. Illfracombe is such a beautiful town. The lady that checked us in was so friendly and offered us very helpful local information for walks. Room was spacious and immaculately clean. Both had a great night's sleep and really enjoyed our full England breakfast in the morning, with a nice selection of cereal and yogart and fruit. Coastal path is just by the lodge and only a 15 minute stroll down the road into the town centre and the harbour offering has a good choice of restaurants. Can't thank the chap that works there for helping us out in the morning when we discovered tire had gone flat! He immediately came out with a tire pump and helped try to find local garages for us to get a new tire. Thank you again for a lovely stay and I'm sorry I didn't catch your names to say thank you properly, but sure you will remember us from the story about the flat tire!

  Excellent B and B

  Had 5 nights stay here, great place to stop. Comfy beds,spotlessly clean, really nice bath towels and very good breakfast. Alison and team where very friendly and made you welcome. Short walk into Ilfracombe. Would definitely recommend a stay.

  Perfect for cyclists - very welcoming & warm! Brilliant B&B.

  We were extremely well looked after from start to finish. The 'wet room' is very handy - and we were allowed to put our bikes and wet gear in here - so it was all dry in the morning. Fantastic. The bar on site was also great. A superb spot in Ilfracombe - it's on a real viewing point. Alison did all she could to assist. Breakfast was good! Thanks for being so welcoming - we'll be back!

  Excellent value for money

  This bnb is well located for the coastal path (its literally beside it) and a short walk to Ilfacombes restaurants, shops, theatre and gardens. We were welcomed by friendly staff and the room was clean and comfortable, cotton sheets and comfortable mattress. The shower looks basic but its powerful and large thick soft towels and hand towels and toiletries are supplied. The breakfast was excellent; fresh orange juice, delicious full breakfast, fresh fruit salad and proper coffee. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast.

  A welcome find

  I was so well looked by all of the staff while not feeling too well. I was given the best gluten free breakfast I have had in any hotel. The downstairs room was perfect with my dog. It was all lovely and so good to relax in the bath before falling asleep in front of the television. I didnt get as far as I would have liked on the coastal path passing the guesthouse. Next time!
