  New are very cozy appartement. Close to the city centre, in walking distance from restaurants, shopping etc. Very welcoming service in the reception where it is also possible to buy the ski passes. It is recommended to go by car to the ski lift parking area. Great place. We will be back if we are going to Winterberg again in the future.

  Grand breakfast, good location and friendly staff

  We rented one of their apartments for a weekend of bike park riding. Easy to find, spacious and clean. For the price, absolutely worth a consideration if you are just going to Winterberg for riding in the bike park (or otherwise only need a place to sleep). Winterberg at this time of year, beautiful autumn colors, nice mountain like atmosphere, already a bit winter like weather still allowing you to spent the full day in the outdoor without having to wear ski clothes. Truly like the place. Will certainly come back again, most likely in the spring next year when the bike park opens for the new season.

  One of the best in Winterberg!

  We booked a last minute holiday in Avital apartments as hotel rooms were sold out. Reception was very welcoming and friendly, very fast and straight forward, perfect english spoken. Apartments were located as said, 200 mt up a little hill, short walk! Apartments were super clean and modern. We had everything we needed, we didnt cook but I bet if we had we would have found everything there. We paid breakfast in hotel and walked every morning to the hotel building. Nice way to start the day with the fresh breeze down the hill. Breakfast was good, fresh fruits, many kind of deli meats and cheese, breads. Fresh egg counter and you can even squeeze your orange juice. Wellness are was nice and peaceful, you could have water there and even fresh apples!. I only tried the pool, with good temps but didnt try the sauna but it looked nice. We have already booked for next year and this time hotel room!. Cant wait!!

  250e for sleeping on the street

  Imagine being stuck in front of the hotel entrance in the middle of the night because your key card doesnt work and the hotel emergency number doesnt respond. Imagine the desperation of the person left alone in a foreign country in the middle of the night on the street in winter, without documents and money because you just took your dog out for a 5min walk before going to bed. Well thats what happened to me and when I refused to pay for that one night I was told that it happens, its not their fault and I should pay anyway. Not even an apology. Im sorry what? 250e for the night you stole my sleep?

  A personal favourite

  We've visited a few times and we always stay in the apartments. They seem newly renovated, they are cozy and clean. Location is also top - close to the city center where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies and other shops. Something I found really good is that there are stores working on Sundays and that is not typical for Germany (we live here). Hiking routs are also around the corner to explore. For those travelling with kids, there is a playground 200 m away and a couple of others also on a walking distance. The SPA is also very nice and I can only recommend the services. We even got Easter eggs and bunnies on Easter morning :) It is probably worth saying that we visit outside of the winter season and we don't ski thus "close to the ski area" is not a decisive factor. I am already looking forward to our next stay.
