  Fin de semana perfecto

  Hemos pasado un fin de semana en este maravilloso hotel, no sólo por la ubicación, sino por ser un lugar ideal para eol descanso y estar a apenas media hora de Brighton o de Portsmouth. El personal del hotel es lo mejor de el, y, si tuviera que destacar algo lo haria del personal del servicio de restaurante y de bar, con Manuel Herraiz creo que se llamaba al frente, se nota cuando hay un profesional de verdad al frente de un departamento.

  Underwhelming

  Stayed here for a short break. On arrival, the outside of the hotel looks great - an old Georgian building set in lovely grounds with a golf course. On closer inspection, the hotel is woefully in need of some serious renovation. The carpets in the public areas are grubby and worn and you can see paint peeling and cracked everywhere. We were allocated a room in the Garden Lodge reached via a walkway. The Garden Lodge appears that it was built in the 70's or 80's and was probably the height of luxury then....and it appears that this was the last time it was decorated. Our room although clean just felt it needed modernising - an attempt has been made by the installation of a flat screen TV, but they left holes in the wall where the old TV was! We had a drink in the bar a couple of times and the check-in information advises no bar service and the guests are served at the tables. There aren't enough staff to accommodate this and it needs to be re-thought. Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh to order, although the staff were running around like headless chickens constantly apologising. We had dinner in the Cedar restaurant on our second night - the food was delicious and the service exemplary. We attributed this to the restaurant manager Maria who was brilliant. All in all it was an "OK" stay, nothing spectacular but pleasant enough. I just hope Hilton invest some serious money in refurbishing what could be a lovely place to stay.

  Excellent safe stay

  Booked a 2 night stay at Avisford Park (Hilton) for a couple of reasons Visit to Arundel Castle & Hilton promotion, plus keep points active The Hotel is an old Georgian building in extensive grounds golf,swimming, tennis, well, fitness and much more. We was there during Covid 19, so as to be expected there were reduced menu's ect but the menu was excellent we had breakfast and dinner It is obvious that the Hotel has a very good Chef The reduced Breakfast was very good (a lot of options still) The dinner again reduced menu, we had the steak which was "EXCELLENT" rest of menu we felt very reduced, but as we were having the steak didn't matter to us. Was cooked perfectly (well done chef) we did not try the "Limitless Brunch" £25 two courses plus as much prosecco as you can drink in 90 min daughter would have liked to but two children prevented it happening lol We booked a cosy room at £65 a night (i presume it would have small) When i checked my Hilton Acc i could see we had been up-graded to a King Suite (Well done Hilton I'm Gold) daughter and two children was across the hall in a Family Suite again well done Hilton both rooms was very nice (but dated deco, but they are Georgian) The Hotel was very clean and felt safe, the staff (all of them) was excellent and safety conscious, will stop here again after covid

  Do not recommend

  Positive - friendly staff. I stayed in this hotel 2 days on one week and two days following week. My first visit - room was not up to standard at all. Dated, yellow stains on lamp shades, old furniture, even toilet roll was left after another guest and just corner was tucked in (as shown in the photo). This room was at the end of the building, quite a walk. My second stay I got an upgraded room due to the email sent regarding poor stay on week1. I did appreciate complimentary upgrade. This was much nicer room, new furniture, mini fridge. But the floor was squeaky as anything. Ever step you do, its extremely noisy. And even though I opted out for room turnover because of my 2 night stay, they still cleaned it - and left the window open in my room. I got back to the hotel quite late and my room was freezing. Food was not up to standard. I did email photos of the food to the reception team and they said they will look into it. And I still got charged for the steak which I did not eat. Duck salad had a lot of chilly in it, and steak was raw. Also, on week two I was charged tray service even though they didnt charge that on week 1, when I asked about that the reception lady took it off my bill. If it wasnt due to work I would never stayed there again, recommend to look elsewhere.

  An excellent stay - Highly recommended

  Clean and relaxing stay. Will be visiting this hotel again. The room was clean, comfortable though a little small. The staff were friendly and added to the experience. It was obvious that they enjoyed working here as they carried out their duties. The hotel observed Covid19 guidelines - wearing face masks, hand sanitizers and social distancing. Good Breakfast though by 10am some of the cold food was running out. The hotel communicated with the hotel re the use of the health facilities and everywhere was clean. The first Hilton hotel I had stayed in where the sauna and steam room were in operation with strict guidelines in place. Will definitely be staying here again soon.
