    Think hard before you chose.

The facility is run down. Looks like they are ready to abandon the location. We should have taken the other posts more seriously. If I could post the actual photos you would see the objectivity of the conditions. This location would barely meet basic conditions in an underdeveloped country.

    Comfortable

We stayed overnight here on a trip from Israel to Paris. The hotel isn't fancy, but it clean, and comfortable. There are some renovations going on, but it has been quiet. Our room is large, bare bones, just basic furniture. We prepaid for breakfast when we booked and it was filling and tasty. It's close to Ben Gurion airport. Taxi fee is 100 Shekels or $27 U.S. dollars.

No water the morning of check-out

We checked in at 9pm and scheduled to fly out of Tel Aviv at noon means check out at 9am or so, believe it or not at the morning there was no water at our room neither at any room of the hotel. Useless frontdesk and no help at all, simply they tell you...no water we can't do anything, talk to a supervisor who is not available. Evening check-in clerk was smiling though and into short talks...very good compared to 100% grumpy employees at all services or restaurants we had in Israel, this was the one and only single exception...but no water is a serious issue

I want to like it, but

So, the Avia is either under remodelation or about to shut down. When you're pulling up to it, you might think it got recently bombed. That's how it looks from the outside. The lobby is small, but the service is attentive. The elevators look fancy, until you ride in them. Now the room. My room was huge, yes, but the tile flooring was not all the way to the walls. The bathroom had some rust spots. The TV was small. The wifi was good, the bed was comfortable. Basically, the room was not worth the price I paid. Now, this hotel is an events hotel. And that part of the hotel looks good. On the main level, in the back, they have an outdoor events space, that looks BEAUTIFUL. Totally different from the rest of the hotel. If I was an events planner, I would choose this space as long as the guests can avoid walking thru the rest of the hotel. There's also a lounge next to the hotel lobby, that is also pretty well setup and usable as an events space. Hopefully they really follow thru with the remodeling of the hotel area, so that it matches the beautiful event spaces. So basically, price is mid-range to luxury, but the rooms , though huge with comfortable bedding, have the look of a budget motel room.
