Best stay of the nine we had in Ireland

We stayed at nine different locations on our tour of Ireland: Air BNB, 5 star hotels and B&B. Ave Maria was my favorite stay as it was the epitome of Ireland (countryside, animals, and family). The house sits on a working dairy farm. There are cows everywhere, even grazing on the yard directly outside our bedroom window A stunningly located Beach Bar is a 10 min stroll down a country lane passing through farmland were you can see donkeys, pigs and geese. The bar is on a breathtaking beach cove (food and service horrible, but the beer & view make up for it). Our family room had three double (queen) beds and a private bathroom. The room was spotless and the bed linen pristine. The next morning we saw the cows being milked (just ask the night before). The large milking facility is just behind the house. No guided tour but the husband of one of the family girls was friendly and happy to answer all our questions. We also saw the baby bulls getting fed, so very cute. The breakfast included self service berries, cereal and yogurt, followed by an exceptional cooked breakfast ordered the previous night. We learned this is a family run B&B in operation since the 1970s. I spoke to two of the daughters, educated interesting and beautiful, both who had careers and families but helped in this enterprise. Another wonderful Irish trait, love of their family. Stay here if you can... I loved it.

    Visita memorable

    OK for one night

We stayed here for one night and it was ok, but we were happy it was just one night. We had a room with two beds (because we have a child with us) and it was rather cramped. Not much space left to put luggage in. It all looked a bit like the best years are behind them. Breakfast was ok. Location is nice, close to Aughris Head.

    Very Good

Me and my family enjoyed the night. The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was great. I had a broken arm going and the pillows and beds were very comfortable. When I woke up it had felt like the arm was not broken. Overall it was Lovely.

    Great B&B

Ave Maria is a great B&B. Great Coffee, greak brekky, really comfy rooms. Very professional staff. Added bonus of visiting the landlady's husbands HUGE milking parlour. Fascinating for kids, it shows them where dairy products come from. Looking forward to coming back in summer.
