  Wonderful motel

  It is always great when the advertising matches the reality. This is a lovely small motel with high quality rooms. The kitchenette and bathroom were spacious and lovely. i was on the ground floor and the back sliding door was only meters away from a great small pool area - great for cooling off after a busy day travelling. It was also handy to be able to park right outside the unit as this made loading and unloading the rental car very easy. The manager and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Thames is a great little township with lots of shops, restaurants and some interesting historical museums and such to visit. beautiful countryside and very central to heading north or south. I will definitely be staying at this motel again.

  Nice place

  Very clean, friendly staff. Super pool to relax in this very hot summer. Very quiet and I would go for the downstairs rooms the only downside was no enough cupboards and draws to put your clothes in. Very close to all the shops. All in all one of the better motels I have stayed especially for the money

  Weekend Away

  If I could give this more than 4 stars I would. We love our weekend trips away and do them quite often, so far Avalon Motel is the nice one we have stayed at in a really long time. Its spacious for our family of four, very clean and tidy and the bed are comfortable. The staff we really friendly. We will definitely be back! Thanks

  Emergency stop over due to car trouble

  Wow!! Thank heavens for the kind people of Thames. We were stuck after a car breakdown on a late Saturday afternoon of a long weekend. Vaughn took us in at Avalon motel, helped us organize food for the kids, helped us find solutions to our car issues and also took time to taxi us the next day. Amazing place, amazing people. Thank you, we are eternally grateful for you kindness!

  Fantastic Place to Stay

  We had a great stay at the Avalon Motel. Vaughan was very pleasant and helpful and he was very informative about the area and places that we wanted to go to. The motel unit was very clean and tidy, well appointed and spotless. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable.
