  Worst Hotel

  Can you say Bait & Switch? The online photos are NOTHING like the actual product the property provides. The rooms are small, old, and theres absolutely no furniture. The website talks about cleanliness and sanitation but that couldnt be further from the truth. The pools were gross, with trash and towels piling up. Left the property to explore town and when we came back we couldnt enjoy the pool because of how filthy it was. It took over two hours to finally have someone clean the area.

  Great Location, Beautiful Property

  I highly recommend this hotel. The property is beautiful and the staff was amazing. They went out of their way to make our stay special. Plus, you can't beat the location. You can walk to everything. I can't wait to stay there again.

  Fun little boutique hotel in the heart of Palm Springs

  This hotel has a great location within walking distance to everything in downtown Palm Springs. There are two pools that are nestled in among the trees, very quiet and private. Staff were all friendly and helpful. There seems to be a nice spa and a hot tub but we did not use those. This hotel is dog friendly and we did see a few dogs, but none were bothersome. We had drinks and some food by the pool which were all pricey but good, we did not eat any major meals here. The hotel is only a mile from the hike in Tahquitz canyon. A short drive to the hikes in Indian Canyons which were amazing. Because dining is so restricted in PS, I would highly recommend you make dinner reservations far in advance, we did not have one good meal while we were in town because all of the good restaurants were booked up. As others have noted, the hotel could use some updating and we paid $550 for two nights and $250 for another night. I would say a fair price would be around $300-$350/night. I asked for a room that had been renovated and we were on the ground floor by the pool but had a hedge in front so it was very private and quiet at night. Also, it would have been nice to have some coffee available in the lobby or from the bar in the morning, or even in the room. Had to walk to Starbucks which was crazy crowded all the time.

  Great location and super friendly staff!

  Everyone remembers your and are very helpful when asking for suggestions. We checked out bikes and went for a hike to the falls. The weather was amazing and the places we got to visit are top knotty. Sure wish the home tours were open but COVID-19 has shut the down.

  It was more enjoyable to be outside of our room rather than in our room

  We weighed several options for our staycation. We had visited the Avalon property before and had great experiences, so we decided to stay here. It was last minute so our total rate was $500+ but we knew the resort was highly rated. We were surprised though when we arrived to our room. The walls were bare white, the bed was bare white, the bathroom had no counter space with a small clear shelf on wheels for our toiletries, the tv was small (not a smart tv), no clock, there was no dresser and the room itself was small. Definitely not what we were expecting for the cost and reputation. Aside from that, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous everywhere we went. The grounds were beautiful and serene. It was more enjoyable to be outside of our room rather than in our room.
