  Tired and lacking in attention to detail

  The hotel looks great on the website, with a lovely location adjacent to a small waterfall in the middle of the Jura mountains. Booking was efficient and friendly. Unfortunately, despite email confirmaition of our booking for three adults and two children, we had been allocated space for three adults only. As a result our second room, which should have been a 'Superieur' was standard, and extremely small for two beds and a cot. Having reserved a table for 5.30 via email, we were informed on that the restaurant didn't open until 7, and the only other option was a patisserie in a neighbouring village. We descended to the restuarant at 7PM sharp, but didn't receive children's meals until 7.50 - which meant two overtired children who were no longer hungry and an unenjoyable meal for all. I would also advise taking great care on the terrace at the rear - it is painted concrete and has a severely slippery surface when wet; in the space of the 10 minutes we were on the terrace four children had slipped over. This could be a real gem of a hotel, but there needs to be significantly better attention to detail, and an update to decoration in a number of places.

  Charming and relaxing ...

  On the main road from Poligny to Switzerland, through the mountain of Jura, this hotel / restaurant is very nice. Small, comfortable, clean ... and excellent food in the restaurant with local wines served by somebody who knows his stuff ... Let him guide you through the wine list ... A view in the early morning on the moutains of Jura is just exceptional. A relaxing halt to have, a bit out of the crowdy world.

  Bad hotel, worse food.

  We were very disappointed with our stay due to several reasons. Firstly the website is very misleading and implies the hotel is next to a beautiful late which it is not. Secondly the food was appalling, being called Hotel blue trout we expected beautifully fresh fish with vibrant food. However the fish we had was clearly frozen and had been chucked in a deep fryer and the goats cheese salad was from a squeeze can; overall it seems the chef has lost the plot. The only reason this place doesnt receive 0/5 is because the rooms were actually reasonably nice and were clearly looked after.

  Very good hotel halfway to the wintersports

  My wife and I booked one night in the Moulin des Tuites Bleues because the hotel is halfway between Amsterdam and Le Grand Bornand. I inquired if they would have trout on the menu and they confirmed that. We got an upgrade to a room overlooking the gardens instead of a room facing the Route Nationale 5 which was very nice indeed. The room was adequate with tv we did not use and a good bathroom. The restaurant of the hotel was quite full, we had trouts for dinner served by competent and friendly staff. All in all, a pleasant stay in the Jura.

  A good overnight stop in the Jura Mountains

  Did an overnight stop here on the way to Italy. Hotel situated at the side of the road to Geneva beside a stream. Family room for four was absolutely massive and was very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities supplied. Decor a bit dated but typical of the area. Very good evening meal, one of us chose the trout from the adjacent stream and it was lovely, breakfast also good but it is a pity that so many French hotels now choose to use self-service coffee machines instead of making it the old way. Internet a bit slow. Parking available beside hotel. A nice, quiet and isolated stopover, infrequent traffic on main road.
