  Great Stay - Great Price!

  Hamilton is full of motels but on my next visit I wont even bother doing a comparison - The Auto Lodge was perfect and Ill be back. There was quite a difference on line between the Auto Lodges room rate and some of the other hotels I had stayed at before so I wasnt sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms are modern with everything you need. Definitely the best value for money that Ive ever found in Hamilton. The studio rooms arent huge but certainly big enough for 2. The bed, shower, TV, Wifi, a/c are all great and the room is very clean. We didnt cook but theres a shared kitchen on site with big tables, work surfaces and real ovens rather than a pathetic cooktops that most motels squeeze into a room. The location was perfect and the management was friendly and very helpful. Great experience all round.

  just beautiful

  This motel was just what I needed. Although on a major road, it was quiet, and there was ample car-parking space. The room was on the ground floor. It was a spacious well-appointed room with kitchenette and a larger size shower cubicle - space to move. It was all scrupulously clean. Good sized wardrobe with iron and ironing board. Plenty of power outlets to charge up devices. Good quality kitchen appliances, no rubbish here. The large wall-mounted TV was well-positioned for viewing from the bed. The free WiFi was very handy. The large bed was firm and comfortable with high quality bedlinen and pillows, making for a good night's sleep. I would have been happy to stay longer if I had the time.

  A perfect nights stay

  After visiting our sea ( country) change daughter & her family in Napier my wife & I decided on a night stopover in Hamilton before driving to Auckland I/airport & flying home to Sydney the next day & chose the Auto Lodge based on previous reviews. Nothing overly spectacular about the outside of this motel but the most important part, the inside, in my opinion was faultless. Friendly owners, updated modern rooms with high quality fittings. The queen bed was super comfortable & the larger than normal shower area was great ( no cramped nose to wall cubicle here) & the bathroom itself was very modern & immaculately clean. The wall mounted TV was easily viewed while reclining in bed & the small glass table & two chairs were very convenient & there is plenty of safe off street parking. Quite frankly one of the best motels my wife & I have stayed in....well done to the owners.

  Hidden gem

  Looks a little dated from the road but units are lovely. Looks like it has been recently redecorated and is very nicely done. Unit was spotlessly clean. We arrived after reception had closed, by arrangement, and key was left out and heat and electric blankets turned on which was a lovely touch. Lots of car parking and, although just off a busy road, we couldnt hear any traffic noise. Located a little bit out of town but is still just a $10-$15 taxi ride. Good value for money. Would stay there again and happily recommend.

  Excellent place, just off Ulster Street

  Very clean, good sized room , friendly owner , would recommend , close to City Centre, supermarket And eateries , been here last three years for Fielddays at Mystery Creek and always clean and immaculately presented inside
