Great locationWonderful find. Booked last-minute and pleasantly surprised. Typically Austrian decor ambience and traditional menu, not to everyone's taste but OK. Clean rooms, efficient service, lovely pool and sauna. Conveniently located opposite main gondolal, lifts and ski school. Restaurants and bars near by. Ski hire shop underneath hotel and very helpful and efficient. Best location ever visited skiing for location and amenities. No lugging skis about or waiting for buses.

NoisyStayed here for skiing trip. It's a good location for the slopes. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast simple but adequate. Downside is the noise from the bar below, it's constant you can't open the windows to try and cool down the warm rooms due to the racket!!!! Oh and the church bells start from around 6am.

2020 Ski TripWeve had a fab stay at Hotel Austria. We picked it for the location - just opposite the Gondola, the pool and the réputation for food. The team have been super helpful and friendly and have been flexible about veggie food to suit my intolerances. The rooms are cosy and traditional and immaculately clean. So nice to have a pool to ease off the muscles at the end of busy day skiing. Highly recommend!

Ideal resort for Beginners and Family ski parties and the Hotel Austria is the place to stay!We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of March. The hotel is a traditional Austrian family run hotel. Angelika and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a spacious bedroom with lovely views of the Church and the valley. The restaurant served a typical breakfast with a choice of cold meats and cheeses and boiled or scrambled eggs and bacon. The four-course evening meal offered a choice of three main dishes. The first dish was usually typical Austrian fare and very good. Our grandchildren usually shared one of the main dishes, but on some nights they opted to have something from the extensive childrens menu. Downstairs the was a reasonably sized warm swimming pool with large windows overlooking the valley. There was also a boot room with an interconnecting door into the in-house ski hire shop. This was convenient for collecting your gear before breakfast on the first day avoiding the queues. The ski hire shop also gave us swipe cards for access to a basement ski room with lockers for skis with integral boot drying racks. The location of the hotel is ideal for skiing. The main lift and ski school meeting place was just across the road. The slopes in the village are ideal for Beginners. Our four-year-old granddaughter went to ski school and had a great week in a small group with Robyn. Our daughter and her husband spent time on the three tree lined runs down from the top of the mountain. They were surprised how good the runs were and amazed they were so quiet.

Great stay at the Hotel AustriaWe stayed here as a family of 3 in the 2020 ski season. We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and again it did not disappoint. The location is excellent, right opposite the gondola. We used the red ski school for 5 days and they were very good. The 2 adults had Austria ski instructors from the village and their tuition was excellent. The hotel is clean and traditional. We found the staff to be extremely welcoming and hospitable. You may read some reviews that are derogatory towards the "receptionist" but we never found this the case. If anything she was quite the opposite. The food is traditionally Austrian and we enjoy the variety each night and trying something different. If you just want a burger and chips, this is not the place for you! I cannot praise this hotel enough, a brilliant stay and we cannot wait to come back!
