  Lovely Italian meal, but spoiled by a lack of window blinds and fans in the consersvatory.

  Visited this restaurant for the second time in a couple of years. We expected to receive similar service and meals that we had experienced on our previous visit. Sadly, although we could not fault the quality of food, the service was quite patchy. Despite requesting that our family get together could be recorded by spending a few seconds taking a photo on our mobile phone this was apparently too much to ask. We had the meal in the consersvatory but this was a huge mistake. To be fair, it was a sunny and warm evening but this must have happened in Nairn, the Brighton of the North, before. Sitting in the sunshine was unbearable and yet, there were no blinds or fans to make the diners more comfortable. How hard can it be to resolve this problem? In summary the food was excellent, the service patchy and the consersvatory is to be avoided on sunny evenings at all costs. We would return for the great Italian food on offer but would request a table away from the consersatory on a sunny evening.

  2 Times in 2 Days

  We were a part of a group of 9 who popped in here on a Friday night. The hospitality, food and drink was wonderful. The owner/wait staff were friendly, helpful and entertaining. It was so enjoyable, we walked back the next night and took 10 more friends!

  "Aurora" - La Migliore Opzione Sulla Costa Degli Highlands

  Quando andiamo in un albergo, la prima cosa che guardiamo è la pulizia di tutta la struttura. "Aurora" è in una posizione molto comoda per visitare il centro di Nairn e la spiaggia, ha le camere perfette, la colazione abbondante, e tutto il personale molto gentile. Sicuramente ci torneremo di nuovo. @@ Not a big, but a great place to stay and eat in Nairn; one of the best places we've stayed in a long time: the room and bathroom were spotless, and the homemade "Italiano-Scottish" food & coffee were very good. And the splendid Chianti choice! Enrico (and all his endless history lessons) made us feel most welcome. His family and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We shall definitely come back again.

  A bit of a find!

  We were staying quite near here for a couple of days and decided to find somewhere to eat, other than the hotel we were staying in. Not easy, given Covid restrictions. We just chanced on this wee hotel restaurant and were delighted when they said they could serve us dinner that evening. Extremely friendly staff and a superb Italian based menu. I had the biggest prawn cocktail Ive ever eaten and it was fresh and delicious. My main course was equally delicious- veal in a lemon sauce. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

  Quick stopover in Nairn

  I had booked this hotel for 1 night as I was at a function elsewhere the same evening. Welcomed by the owner (to my embarrassment I dont recall her name) and after a very pleasant chat/overview was shown to my room which was huge, large comfortable bed, sofa, dressing table, full length mirror. I asked for an iron which was brought to my room within 5 x minutes. When ready to leave I went downstairs and asked about taxis. Straight away the other owner, Enrico, called and booked a taxi. The restaurant is Italian, and though I didnt eat there, the menu looked very appealing and I know they were fully booked with 40 covers. What was so sweet was although they were clearly very busy they took time to make me feel welcome, chatting, giving me their time prior to service. The next morning again the owner came out to the car park to wish me goodbye and welcoming me back in the future. Next time, and there will be, I will make sure I book for the restaurant and make my stay a little longer
