  Relax y calma en Arran

  El hotel es un remanso de paz en una isla -Arran- que es en sí un precioso lugar, lleno de calma y tranquilidad. Las zonas comunes, sobre todo la sala de estar con la chimenea en la recepción es preciosa. La habitación en la que estuvimos no era muy grande, pero sufiente y daba a la fuente frente a la entrada, con lo que el sonido del agua contribuía a aumentar la sensación de relax. Los servicios del spa incluídos en el precio de la habitación muy básicos, pero dentro de lo que suele ser habitual en este tipo de establecimientos.

  Muy caro

  Estuvimos dos parejas en un cottage. Veníamos de otro cottage en Lake District, que nos costó menos de la mitad y ofrecía más. Estos no están nada mal, pero las fotos engañan. Parecen mucho más espaciosos de lo que son realmente. Cuando alguien usa el agua caliente empieza un ruido terrible. Por fuera da la impresión de desatendido. Al llegar nos quedamos un poco decepcionados. Amables lo justo.

  Best place ever

  I have never been to a resort that I love so much no place can match it everything about the Auchrannie is wonderful the staff, facilities food etc I could go on forever due to Covid we have not been able to go over as much and I really must say I have missed it so much this resort is worth every penny i think I have stayed in every room and lodge they have never tire of this wonderful place even my 2 dogs love going

  Disappointing service

  We had booked a night here to finish off our week holiday on arran but were left disappointed when they cancelled last minute and we were left stranded on arran with nowhere to stay and practically nowhere to eat! We explained the situation but they were no help! We were extremely disappointed and not a great ending to our holiday.

  5 star , pure relaxation, top of the range excellence!

  Myself, my partner and my Pup stayed in an executive lodge for 3 nights in November. The ONLY reason this is not a 5 star review is the following: We paid an additional £30 for our dog to accompany us however there were no additional services or extras that we benefited from for this additional cost. I understand that this was likely due to "additional cleaning" risks or costs, and that some dogs may be large and cause large messes etc, however that did not apply to us / our dog. I would have liked even some dog biscuits or dog lead posts/ dog water bowls dotted about the resort, but this was not the case. Other negatives: we had pre-booked appointments at the spa (you have to pay upfront) and when we arrived the brochure advised there was a discount available that week. We were reimbursed once I questioned it however would have been good to have offered this at the point of booking. The food in the only open restaurant (2 out of 3 were closed) , though it was tasty and delivered to us, was particularly expensive. It was £5 for 1 bottle of cider. Finally, we were not offered access to the leisure facilities after/ before our spa treatment which was disappointing. I'm assuming this is why the discount was offered however I understand the pool was bookable, would have been nice to have had a slot booked out for us after our treatment. All that being said, the stay was luxurious and I would 100% recommend and stay again. Certainly you get what you pay for , as it is certainly not a budget stay, but the service is impeccable. The executive / luxury lodges are quite a distance from the main resort, about a 10 minute walk, however the shuttle service on arrival from the ferry is appreciated and very useful. No payment is taken until leaving , which adds to the relaxing/ holiday feel actually. There is a phone in the lodges which you can contact the reception from very quickly 24/7 and they are all too happy to oblige all requests. The breakfast boxes and food from Cruise is delicious and very high quality with a good range for all different dietary requirements and palettes. The executive lodge is filled with wood for the burners every day, the bed is highly comfortable and the kitchen facilities are very well equipped and of the highest standard. The oven and hob were not easy to work at first glance however they app is highly useful to rectify any queries. We felt very safe and secure and the view straight to the field behind was lovely and full of sheep (much to our pups dismay!) The wood fired bath did take a long time to heat up (probably around 3 hours), but not too difficult to do yourself if you have the time and patience! Though once it was at temperature, it was very hot! Almost too hot, we could barely sit in it for long and were trying to cool it down for use ! Though when we were in it , it was a lovely experience. The wood fire in the lodge was also very relaxing and lovely. The bathroom facilities were perfect also, and very nice shower and bath. There was also robes and slippers provided. This was a welcome break , under level 3 restrictions (we were able to travel as we live in North Ayrshire), and a hard year. We very much enjoyed our time and would recommend. Happy to answer any questions on this also. Thank you for accommodating us and we hope to return next year.
