OkThis motel was ok. We had a clean bed that is all we needed for one night. The room was very dated though and I wouldnot like to spend more than 1night at a time here. There is an outdoor pool but we got there too late and left early the next morning.

Never againWe booked 2 double rooms with 2 beds in the room bout were put in rooms with 1 queen bed. I also sent the hotel an email with our preferences. After a long day in the road and another the next day, we ended up sharing a bed. The hotel was fully booked and there were no other hotels with vacancy. We were told to complain to booking.com. Airco made so much noise we had to turn it off. We heard cars arriving until late, people in the halls and we could hear loud people in another room. Bed was comfortable but that was the only positive.

Perfect little motel, especially if you have a dogWe've stopped here twice now driving from Ottawa to Cape Breton Island and had a great experience both times. Some of the rooms are dog-friendly which is perfect for us. And there's part of the TransCanada Trail just across the street to walk them. Breakfast is simple but cheap. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly.

Refused us because we have kidsWe did not get the chance to stay at this Auberge. We showed up in the evening, with both of our children asleep in the car. The receptionist informed me that there were only luxury rooms left, but I did not mind since I was done driving for the day and we just needed to get into bed. The receptionist confirmed that the Auberge had a Pack & Play available for babies. When I asked her to put the Pack & Play in the room, the receptionist had to go and check with the manager, who said that this would not be possible. I left, drove to another motel to find it full. I phoned the Auberge and asked to book the room, saying that we would make our own arrangements for the baby. I was informed that I could not book the room, and was told that we could stay in a smoking room if we really wanted to stay there. I refused the smoking room, and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that he was in a meeting (at 10:45pm) and was not available. I was shocked by the refusal of this Auberge explain why they would not serve us, leaving me to assume that they refused us on the basis of our children. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and especially not to families.

Could not sleepMy bed was so uncomfortable that my back and arm are screaming at me. I don't sleep a wink. Room was not cleaned or supplied properly. I know, cleaning motel rooms was my job at one time. The bedside lamp was hanging of the wall.
