  Excellent

  Everything was really good. The staff were very friendly and professional. I was really impressed with my room at this price. Lots of character, high quality fittings. Good restaurant. Certainly not your run of the mill dull novotel. I left at 7.15 the next morning to get to Brussels airport at 8.15 to drop off the hire car. Much much better than an airport hotel. I was a little worried before about the room perhaps being over a bar, but my room was in a converted building next door to the auberge, perfectly quiet with a great view of the Grand Place. In any case, the bar was more of a restaurant/brasserie local rather than a place teaming with noisy Anglo Saxons. Belgium at its best. Glad I stayed!

  Good hotel in a ghosttown

  Arrived here during a transit to France. Nice staff and a good hotel with big rooms. Average standard. The town itself looked empty for people. I guess most of them were eating in the hotel restaurant which had some excellent food. Hotel owner very service minded and helpful.

  Superb

  Lovely old French Auberge spotlessly clean family run with an excellent restaurant serving freshly cooked local produce and very good value. All the staff were helpful and welcoming and I would like to thank them for looking after my mountain bike. I will certainly stay again. Richard

  A PLEASURE TO RETURN

  Always a pleasure to return to this comfortable and welcoming hotel and restaurant. M. Etienne and his staff are a pleasure, whatever you ask for they provide, nothing is too much trouble.. All the staff have the ability to look after the single traveller. Bedrooms are comfortable and well serviced, crisp laundry and comfortable beds. A varied and well-cooked and presented menu. A good wine list and good carafe wine as well. Always a comforting sight, the restaurant is much supported by local residents!

  Wonderful

  A lovely friendly Auberge with a fabulous restaurant in Thulin. It is located on a square in the middle of the village with plenty of safe parking . The proprietors and staff could not be more helpful to make your stay enjoyable.
