Dirty sheets! The room itself was decent, but when checking the sheets there was some blood stains at the foot of the bed! when I went to the reception, she gave me a new set but we had to change it ourselves, I understand with covid there is less staff but I did not receive any type of compensation. Paying for a hotel means not having to change dirty, bloody sheets yourself. The place wasn't cheap either. Also during these times the breakfast is not all that great, online it does not explain how you get a cold simple breakfast.

Amazing sunsetsStayed at L'Auberge for a few nights and enjoyed the great sunsets on Lac Mercier. Very quiet. Great no contact check-in and check-out. Small breakfast in brown bags every day ranging from croissant, cold cereals, juice and yogourt (bottle of water would be nice). Comfortable bed, good wifi, noisy ac but you can open window. Right on P'tit train du Nord trail. Beside municipal beach. Private pool and small beach. Well maintained grounds. If I would suggest some things: put recycling box in each room to help environment, include a few extra garbage bags since rooms are not done every day, shut pilot light of fireplace during summer because it can get very warm in room. Read booklet to see why 2 remotes for tv (well explained in notebook). When you take a shower, be sure that you put fan on and close door because the fire alarm is right at the door... And it is very loud. Believe me. All in all, I would recommend this hotel and will definitely would go back for the great sunsets. Friendly staff. Masks worn and one customer at a time in office. Works great.

Great views...room? Needs renovation!Id love to give this property a higher review but I dont want readers to be unaware of the pros AND the cons of this older motel. Pros: - spectacular views of Lac Mercier. We were in the main building on the road. 2nd floor just above Reception. - very comfortable bed with lots of pillows and warm bedding - bathroom is modern with glass shower stall - room was clean - location good - 10 mins to Village and about the same to St-Jovite. - too cool to enjoy the pool or lac but its nice with a great view of the lac. Narrow beach (2 feet or less in most places). - large TV with some cable. We brought our Apple TV and connected to the free strong Wi-fi. - small coffee maker. Reception has coffee and accessories when opened (8:30 am). We brought our espresso machine and so glad we did! - free parking directly in front of 1st floor rooms. Cons - this is, at best, a 2.5 Star up to max 3 based on its view and location. This is an old motel. Mostly wood structure which is in dire need of being sanded and repainted (and lots needs to be torn out and replaced, like the deck floor and rails ). - due to Covid, breakfast is a bagged affair. If you have any food allergies, not sure if other options are available as these are pre-packaged. - no fridge or microwave so if you need to store food, bring your cooler. Ice is available at reception but may not be at all times. - furniture is rustic. Not as pictured on the website. - thru-the-wall AC Unit. Didnt need it as it was really cool during our stay. This might be noisy, especially in such a confined space. - no services. You need to bring your used towels down to get fresh ones. Same for your trash during your stay. This is due to Covid. I get it. Just seems poorly executed. All in all, we made the best of the situation since the room was paid; non-refundable and clearly no other option on a long weekend. Regarding Mont Tremblant: The entire village was packed. A bit disconcerting given Covid. Restaurants booked every table. All staff were fully compliant with PPE but of course diners take their masks off. In the village, people were literally shoulder to shoulder and most were not wearing masks. Stores are hyper vigilant on hand sanitizing and wearing masks. Well see what happens in a few weeks time.
