  Great lunch

  We stopped for lunch and were so happy we did, the service was excellent and so was the food! My husband had a Caesar salad and a gratin and I had the trout plate which was delicious and dessert was a cold and hot coupe, which was vanilla ice cream and mirabelles ice cream and stewed mirabelles in eau de vie, yummy!

  Nice charming hotel with a good restaurant in a tiny village in Lorraine close to Gerardmer

  Located close to Gerardmer but on the country side with either separated apartments/gites or rooms, your choice . A nice garden, friendly staff, rooms are a bit pricy but completely remodelled and spacious and the restaurant is absolute value for money . We ate foie gras and local French beef and it was just delicious and baked to perfection . One weird remark for smoking customers and never seen before ; a small card on the bed informs you that if you smoke inside the room, you will be charged 150 euro to wash all the linnen and curtains.... Parking across the street on a public parking and for bikers and space allowing, inside the compound .

  Excellent food,impeccable service.

  This Logis dException is a gem. Our room was beautifully decorated and had a lovely private garden. Every course at dinner was of fine dining quality and the service throughout was impeccable both in the dining room and at reception. The welcome drink and complimentary bottle of water for your journey is more than you get at 5star palace hotels. We will be back!

  Overpriced

  Stayed one night at the Domaine. Arrival was a bit disorganised. Unclear where to park the car, no clear signage. Initially no staff available at the reception. Waiting time. Room OK, although dark and a bit improvised. Toilet seat loose. Good bed though. Dîner very average. Ashes of previous customers on the table. Breakfast at 17 EUR overpriced. Little choice. Staff "prepares" your tray giving only three small bread rolls. Bowls holding the cereals so small that nobody dares to take more than a tiny quantity. Additional payment for eggs of 4,5 to 5 EUR is hard to except. Surprised by the other comments. For me thus was a one time visit only.

  A wonderful place

  I surprised my girlfriend with a night in a Chalet with Jacuzzi and she was just open-mouthed (positively!) and so was I. The details of the Chalet were very lovely and the people really friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will surely come back. We can only recommend! We enjoyed a diner which was good. The breakfast is rather small, to be honest, but it has everything. But most hotels in which I stayed had more variety and a bigger selection of breakfast products. The only thing which I really critise: Compared to another hotel, you can check in reguarly very late, at 4:00 (!!!!) pm and have to check out early (11 am) - compared to other hotels. If you want to check in earlier you have to pay an extra fee by hour. But I mean that is a management decision and as customer I can either accept this term or not. But this point will not stop me of going back again to this bijoux.
