  Best tarteflette I've had

  Staying in Mounties overnight before our ascent of the mountain. We tried auberge de savoie as there was something on the menu for all the family. The pizza was freshly made with a lovely thin crust, but the tarteflette was the best I have ever tasted and being a frequent visitor to France have had many. A really enjoyable dinner for all

  Awful service

  Absolutely impossible to get waiter service. Even going in to ask for menu got no results. Once finally ordered took ten minutes to arrive (soft drinks). Yes. They were doing table service (supposedly)

  Staff really bad. Zero customer service (bar one lady who was great)

  A number of us stayed in this hotel for 3 days before the 2019 Etape du Tour and then for an additional 3 days during the Etape. The rooms were OK, we ate here a couple of times and the food was fine. The BIG issue are the staff. Numerous examples of poor to bad customer service, but examples include being asked to leave tables (outside) when we were having a pre evening meal drink, as we were not eating (about 10% of the tables were being used at the time), and, one evening when we returned from eating out, we tried to sit down for a drink and were told we couldn't unless we were eating (again, about 30% of the tables were in use). It was like they didnt want to take our money. There was one lady (who when she was working seemed to be in charge), but she was fighting a loosing battle. I've taken holidays in France for many years now, and have become use to the surley attitude, but I've never felt compeled to write about it before!

  Rude and overpriced

  We went to the Auberge for a drink and ice cream. Right away the waiter told us they have better things to do than serve ice cream when it's so busy. Only 6 tables were occupied and it was half past five in the afternoon. When the drinks were brought we had to pay right away. Usually not a problem, but the tone was so unacceptably rude. Our change (more than 5 euro) was give in the form of 20 cent coins. No excuse, not a single friendly word. Besides that, the drinks are more expensive than in Paris. An ounce of freshly squeezed lemon juice was 6 euros.

  Nice one night stay and dinner

  Would recommend for a transit on the way to your ski resort. We stayed for 1 night arrived late by train from Lyon and had dinner in the restaurant (open until 9:30pm). Really really nice food - definitely would recommend, large portions and good selection of food. Only issue was that menu was not in English and staff didnt know English very well, but we managed! Room clean and very warm despite the winter weather outside
