HospitableWe stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were very hospitable and the bedroom was modern and decent. Bathroom excellent. It rained, so we got wet between the hotel and the bedroom block. No brollies offered. Parking is at a distance - also a rain problem. The food was very good, bordering on excellent. However, the chef is a fan of this silly modern trick of not giving you a menu to choose from, but instead supplying what he wants you to have. Surprise, as he calls it. I don't want a surprise, I want what I want, not what he wants to give me. But it was very good food, nevertheless. However, the biggest let-down was breakfast. Sparse in the extreme and not worth the money, especially when it is all do it yourself.

Great findLovely small hotel with a very good restaurant. Stayed in a bedroom in a new part of the hotel, very clean & modern. Friendly host. When we arrived there was no record of Logis being asked to book a table for dinner, however we were offered a table before the restaurant became busy & it all worked out well in the end.

Quelle Surprise! We saved up to treat ourselves to eat in this Michelin mentioned gourmet restaurant but it was not quite as exceptional as I expected. We went for the three course with wine at 55 pp. The starter however was superb. Asparagus with a bit of a bite, served with a heavenly Hollandaise sauce and accompanied by a crisp and fruity wine. This was followed by cod on a bed of mushrooms served with a very dull wine. The course itself was as dull as the wine. The desert was the kind of desert you give your teenage kids when you want to shut them up for a while; it was a peach, cream, chocolate kind of ice cream with was covered with a sticky caramel sauce. On the top of this vulgar combination was a slice of chocolate though which you were meant to pour the hot salty caramel sauce. To sparkling wine appeared to accompany this final treat which I could not finish, as you might have expected already. The staff were very friendly and professional and the restaurant has a pleasant feel to it. However, I don't think I will go back to this restaurant to eat their three course surprise meal again but perhaps I just came on the wrong night, and should try it another time. I do like it when a sommelier pairs a wine to a dish but I would have preferred a choice of deserts. My partner had the veal with a superb red wine and the celeriac mash was equally outstanding. This meal should have ended with simple creme caramel, Iles Flottantes served with a Sauternes or Baune des Venises or simply with cheese and a vintage port.

Small and basic roomTemperature was 28C when we arrived - no air con or fan in the room, so it was very hot and uncomfortable overnight. No lift and narrow spiral stairs to climb with cases to first floor. TV but only French channels available. Shower room is fairly small but shower worked ok. Room decor was old fashioned and in need of some TLC, The bed was firm and just ok At £80 for one night plus another £10 each for breakfast.we did not feel it was good value. Staff very friendly and the on site restaurant was good.

A great place. The room was compact, the shower too. However, the room, was located on the first floor at the rear of the property, was air conditions and comfortable. The room had a small balcony, which was pleasant but unfortunately overlooked other rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly.
