  Nice seaside hotel, poor service

  Stayed just one night in Rm9, spacious and comfortable, clean room with good, modern bathroom and seating are in bay window with gorgeous view over Bude beach and town. Do wish owners would actually SLEEP a night in their own rooms - loads of wall space yet no dressing table, lovely new shower yet nowhere to put any shampoo or soap once in. Waited 30 mins to check in. Don't expect reception to be waiting for our arrival with bated breath, but apparently only one person in the entire place was capable of giving us a room key, and he was out... Only hotel in our 8 night trip which did not run a system of pre-booking breakfast times. When I enquired, receptionist said "We had thought about it". They need to think harder. Breakfast service was atrocious. 2 ladies rushing around ineffectively, bringing out one item at a time from the kitchen. Trays? We left having cancelled our hot food order. Bude is too lovely to spend nearly 1.5 hrs at breakfast!

  Fantastic view over the beach

  Spent first night of our staycation and it was lovely. Front of the hotel is looking a little tired but other than that it was great. Had a premier room with a sea view. Service was great and we were lucky to get a parking spot too. Made sure we were down for breakfast and had no issues with length of service. All the staff were friendly and efficient. A little overpriced maybe but then everywhere is right now but I would recommend!

  Nights stay in Bude

  Quick stay over in Bude. Nice small hotel. Good location with great views. Nice breakfast. Great place for drinks out the front looking over Bude beach. Parking a struggle but pay and display just up the road free after 6pm and before 9am. Room for 5 cars out the front of there is space which is free. Room dated and old bed needs a topper very small TV.

  This is for their Restaurant, best Oysters from exeter , beating Gallway Ireland

  This was fantastic dining in fine ambience, despite covid restrictions. The food was excellent. Great menu and good service, booking essential and recommended even if no covid. The oysters were local and superb. Beating last years visits from Gallway!! The remainder of the meal also excellent. Eating food , being so good you don't even notice it as it just disappears before your very eyes !! yum yum

  Great food

  Am reviewing the restaurant only as we did not stay here. Lovely ambience, great welcome, friendly staff, efficient service. Food was beautifully presented, tasted fantastic but probably not quite enough of it, I had the duck which was fabulous but glad that I ordered chips as a side order. Its ideal for a romantic or other special occasion but for us it's not an everyday place to come. Wine choices were excellent although a little pricey overall. Would come back.
