  Wonderful Stay!

  We stayed at the Athina Villas for 12 nights last month and what a fabulous stay we had. We arrived earlier than expected but were let into our room even though it was only about 11am. We were greeted by Manolis who made us feel instantly welcome and gave us a lovely bottle of red wine. Manolis truly is the most amazing host and such a kind and genuine person. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The apartments are part of 'The Island' snack bar which offers the most amazing smoothies... we had one nearly every morning. The food is great too... perfect for a delicious breakfast to start the day. Our room was lovely and kept very clean. Housekeeping visited every other day. We had a lovely little terrace balcony with a beautiful garden and a lime tree and a view of the ocean. Loved the fact the t.v had Netflix so on the odd night we stayed in we were able to log in to our account and watch movies. Plaka is the most beautiful village... we visited for the day last year and fell in love with the place instantly. It is our little piece of heaven and I'm so glad we chose to stay here. There are some beautiful tavernas and the beach is literally on the doorstep. We celebrated my 40th birthday during our stay so it was an extra special holiday for me and my husband. When it was time to go home Manolis gave us some beautiful Olive oil and soap which was so kind and appreciated. We will definitely return to the Athina Villas and would 10000000% recommend the place to anyone thinking of staying in Plaka.

  The perfect place to stay!!!

  Just perfect!!! The best value for money! If you stay there you learn what greek hospitality is!!! Next to the sea, very cheap!!! Manolis is very polite and whatever you ask for he will do his best to provide it!!!

  Lovely location with a great host.

  Excellent location and spacious apartment. Good value for money. Manolis, the owner is very polite and extremely helpful. Great places to eat and shop right next to the apartments. Loved our stay here!

  Wonderful

  Spent four nights here with friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment.. really clean and spacious with a wonderful balcony with a sea view. Manolis is a fabulous host who goes out of his way to make his guests welcome. He gave us a bottle of wine on arrival and local olive oil on departure. Such a lovely gesture. Plaka is lovely.. quiet with great tavernas. Beach is stony but the sea is so clear. An 8 euro taxi ride into Elounda which is lovely. Cant wait to return.

  Simple ...but perfect !

  We spent a week at Athina Villas in July 2019 a family of 4 with 2 kids age 20 and 17. We have stayed in Elounda on 3 occasions so knew we loved the area .Manolis was a perfect host who could not do enough for us to ensure our stay was perfect. We stayed in the 2 bed apartment which was plenty big enough for4 of us with a huge balcony overlooking Spinalonga, a view many would pay a fortune for. The apartment was basic with A/C only in the bedrooms -however this was more than adequate even in the summer heat . We will most definitely return here again and I would highly recommend it
