  DO NOT go here!!!! Beware! Roach infested!

  The most disgusting place ever! Filthy, roach infested..stinky...total dump! I even wonder what type of activities go on here! The only redeeming quality was the staff -- who were kind and refunded me all my money and allowed me to cancel my reservation without pause...of course they couldn't argue with reality...and pictures.

  Falling apart!!!!!

  The only good thing about this place was the staff. They were friendly and could only work with what they had but I would absolutely not stay here again. They no longer serve any breakfast, although it was advertised, and the WiFi is not secure and barely usable. Although I had reserved a double w/2 beds they gave me a single the first time around. The TV remote was missing so I had to ask for one.

  Got Credit Card Stolen, travelers be aware

  I lost my credit card and driver's license when I checked in at evening on 09/08/2017. A young guy called Ben took my driver's license and credit card to make a copy and did not give back to me. I forgot to ask for them, as check-in took an hour and I was very tired. I got the keys and looked at my room, and decided to leave. (The room condition is another story.) When I checked in at another hotel, I found my driver's license and credit card was not with me. I then called Athens Inn/lodge,twice, the same guy said he did not found my driver's license or credit card. The next morning, I went back to your hotel and only found my driver's license in a drawer at the front desk. Two aged man at the front desk assisted me. But my credit card was not found. They called Ben, and he said he gave them back to me last night. After my credit card was lost, I noticed there was an unauthorized charge at a BP ( STORE 362 ATHENS, TN 37303 US.) By the way, when I looked at my hotel room, there was no towels, no shower stuff, no coffee machine, no microwave. And I saw bugs in bed. I have never seen a hotel like this.

  Unprofessional, rude staff

  Got woken up the first morning due to housekeeping, yelling and cussing across the second story saying words that I do not use myself. She was right out n front of my room. Which was extremely unprofessional. She never asked whether I needed her to clean my room. But she was cussing so loudly that I continued to hear her plain as day from the other side of the building. With staff like that, who would want to stay in a place like that? As far as the gentleman that checked me in, he was extremely professional and nice. Other than the cussing and yelling across the balcony, I had a somewhat peaceful stay. The room was fairly nice, nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel room. Decently clean, no type of little critters inside the room, no problem with the air/heat unit. Other than the house keeping person, had a pleasant stay.

  Unimpressed even for $49/night

  Just don't stay here. After we checked in we were told to pull around back to our room. There were several women standing outside our room just hanging out. (We later realized they were probably prostitutes.) When we checked in we realized that there were no working lightbulbs in the room. It was not because they had blown out. It was that they had been stolen. We call the front desk and they bring us one bulb. The listing at the time said they had breakfast. They did not. It appeared the kitchen hadn't been operational for years. Keep on driving. There are other options.
