  The best

  Stayed 2 nights in September 2020. This would have to be one of the best, cleanest ,quietest motels we have stayed at....and we have stayed at many motels both here and overseas. The extremely friendly manager went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Could not fault it. And an excellent restaurant ,well priced food, and cooked to perfection. Would recommend Athena Motel to anyone. We will be back. Thank you.

  Great place

  We came to Toowoomba for a hospital trip, this motel is only right behind the hospital. The rooms were clean, quiet and just very nice. The beds were extremely comfortable. We booked a 2 bedroom apt which had 2 queens bed, it was pretty large and was perfect for what we needed. It even had a full size fridge and 2 burner stove. My one downside of the rooms were the floors, if you walked around barefoot, they got very dirty and sticky, unsure why.. I would definitely recommend staying at this motel and i will stay here if I have to go back to Toowoomba. The receptionist was very nice and lovely.

  Great hosptality

  We stayed at Athena on Saturday 7th Nov, 2020. Very clean room and well equipped. Upon returning from dinner on Saturday evening we noticed the Bar was open, we headed in and met Marcel, what a character. We enjoyed a couple of drinks, great conversations and stories , a really great end to an enjoyable day and evening. Thanks Marcel, you are truly a brilliant ambassador for Athena Motel Apartments. Will definitely be staying again on our next visit, cheers Rob & Alana.

  Handy to Hospital

  Stayed 2 nights as our daughter was having a Caesar- our first grandchild and we were there to help as much as Covid restrictions allowed. The apartments were comfortable and well set up for extended stays. Very clean also.Good sized fridge. Microwave. Hot plates etc. didnt need the aircon but the units looked well maintained. Small bar and restaurant on site. Tiny heated pool too. Charging station for your Tesla available! Lovely welcoming staff

  Misleading info and definitely not clean.

  After being advised that check in was from 2pm we arrived around 3pm. Office was closed, (closed at 1pm because of Covid, we were told at checkout) so rang the number to collect the keys, we questioned that there were keycards with no name and were told that all we needed was in the envelope! We walked around and were unable to find our room as we had a key and all were card operated! Rang again and after a 15 minute confusing call found that we were not staying at Athena Motel but next door at Thomas Lodge Townhouses! The garage was locked so we were unable to use it, the fridge door was open, the counter tops had some sort of sauce over them, the microwave had food splattered all thru it. The stove top had food over it and had not even been wiped, oven pan filthy. All the crockery and dishes were not clean so ran them thru the dishwasher before we used them. There were nice white leatherette dinning chairs but again very dirty. All of the food left on the surfaces were fresh, easy to wipe off, so more than likely from the previous guests. Vanity upstairs had not been cleaned. Given the current climate of Covid-19 you would expect that the cleaning between guests would be paramount to a business! We reported everything to the office at check out.
