    Nice and Clean

    The hotel is only 4 years old. We got VIP breakfasts and a good variety of others food to choose from. Weve stayed at 4 star and 5 star Hotel and this hotel makes us feel like home . Our room is very spacious and the bed is pretty comfortable. The staff are really friendly and the security guard is supper nice. He help us cross the street and stop other cars & motorcycle so our car can come out of the parking lot. We will definitely come back here again.

    Good place to go local

    I have been here several times for both business trip and leisure. The street is quite busy but you learn how to deal with it. This hotel is next to many local tourist place and is very interesting to check out.

    Good place to stay outside of district 1

    I have been staying here every time i visited Vitnam outside of district 1 near my wife's family home. My wife being local wanted to save some money and wanted to look elsewhere in or near Bình Tân district. We found few places that were rated 2-3 star hotels. They were horrible. More like love hotels. Don't believe the photos of the hotel online. The rooms and bathroom were not very clean. Rooms had smell coming from the vents and drain. If you are nit used to the traditional Vietnamese shower /toilet configuration you will not like it at these cheaper hotels. I am still not used or will ever get used to walking into a wet bathroom floor and sitting on a wet toilet. The steps leading up to the entrance was steep and dangerous when carrying your heavy luggage without any help from staff. We wasted money catching taxi looking for cheaper hotels. At end of the day, we ended up back at Athena in a clean and comfortable room. Never trust my wife again. I will do the booking myself as usual.

    The location is right next to Big C supermarket. It is the north end of the shopping & entertaining area at S Vn Hnh street. It is similar to classic Chinese 4 stars hotels. Some electrical appliances like kettles are made in China. Like most 4 to 5 stars hotel there, foreigners can not sleep with local women without marriage certificates. All visitors are required to leave guest rooms before 10PM due to national regulation. Comparing to the hotels at District 1st, 3rd, 10th, Athena hotel seems to be a few 4 stars at District 10th. It is an upscale choice than many smaller budget inns at the alleys nearby. The breakfast is as good as most 4 stars international hotels. The restaurants for breakfasts is at 11th floor, the rooftop floor, which requires guests to take the elevator to 10th floor and take the stairs. The 115th people's hospital is near. For 24 hours people can hear a few the emergency ambulance horn siren, due to the sound proof is enough. Room windows can be opened. The grand lobby is glory. Free parking is available at underground garage. Two elevators are available. Wifi signal is strong without much bandwidth. Own internet sim card is recommended. The Grab cars to airports and most city attractions are easily accessible. Direct booking is recommended to guarantee the rooms availability. Convention meeting hall is located at 10th floor. The hotel is higher; the city view from room windows are better.

    Hotel cancelled my reservation

    The hotel apparently made a mistake in the price they uploaded on their booking system. I booked the hotel and my trip to Vietnam around it. I was shocked to see my reservation being canceled just like that. Never risk my holiday again with this place.
