  Buen hotel

  Buen hotel. Linda picina. Buen servicio de bar. Excelente atención del personal. Servicio de caja fuerte aparte. Habitaciones sin vista. Un poco lejos del centro y puerto. Recomendable ir con coche. O tener in taxista amigo a quien puedas llamar y que te transporte.

  Pleasent experience

  Hotel Astron is located in a very peaceful area, 300 meters from the main road, about 1,5km from the centrum of Pigadia. It takes there about 20 minutes easy walk or 7-8's by taxi. Nice beach(es) are only about 500 meters away, as well minimarkets, bars and quality restaurants. The hotel area is clean, spacious swimming pool, nice bar and 24/7 reception. Our room (502) had very cozy terrace. Located on the first floor, just couple of steps to the pool, but quiet and peaceful same time. The room itself is not the most spacious one, still suitable for 1-2 weeks enjoyable holiday. The kitchen corner has everything you need for cooking on holidays. Bathroom is pleasant, the shower worked better than in other hotels in Karpathos. The large greek bed lies three steps up- important to know, if you have problem with moving. Unfortunately the wi-fi didn't work at all, sometimes we had problem with the local telephone operator, too. In the lobby both should work without any problem. The television could be bit larger and show international channels, too. The other little minus goes for the worker on night shift, who just looked little bit pissed off when my lady could not open the main door. It was totally dark outside and the guy was watching tv. Another big plus goes to the staff, who sent my keys back by courier. First time forget something in the hotel room, fortunately in Astron. I recommend this hotel as a one of best places to stay in Pigadia. This was our fifth holiday in Karpathos, and not the last. Would come to Astron again.

  Absolute perfekt stay!

  This has been a perfekt stay for a week. Very kind and helpful staff, clean and proper room and surroundings. Very quiet and nice at all. A couple of suggestions for an even better experience: Cushions for the chairs at the terrasse, clothes dryer at the terrasse. Top ranking from us!

  Great Location and Friendly Staff

  We recently had a 5 nights stay in a studio/bungalow which was located at ground level. The room was comfortable and had been refurbished. We had free air conditioning and the safe box is extra. Also there is a small kitchenette and fridge. TV. The room towels changed daily and the cleaning of the room was also good. Reception team were welcoming, friendly and informative. In particular, there is a Dutch lady who works on breakfast duty and the bar area in the mornings who was always very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The swimming pool was lovely and just a few steps from the bungalow. The Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was a buffet. There was a selection of Juice, Water, selection of teas and filter coffee. Hot plates included scrambled egg, sausage and fried eggs. Cold selection of tomatoes, cucumber, olives, meats and cheeses. You could also choose from cereals, yoghurt, cakes, biscuits and jams. Of course, a selection of fresh breads. Breakfast was from 7.30 to 10.00 am each day. We enjoyed walking into Pigadia, about 20 mins and it's a great place to eat in the evenings too. Sometimes we took a taxi and found it was 7 Euros to the taxi rank in Pigadia ( in the heart of the town ) and the same for the return. Overall, the atmosphere at Astron is excellent and certainly on top of our list for a return visit and hopefully for longer next time.

  Amazing hotel!!!

  Very good hotel! Must visit! The staff was very kind and helpful. The pool was big and the surrounding was very beautiful and full of green. Tasteful breakfast with a variety of choices. A worthy hotel!
