  hotel familiar, comodo y con encanto

  lo más destacable es su limpieza, ademas de tener un restaurante precioso en el que se come muy bien, la comodidad de poder salir y llegar esquiando al hotel es algo a tener en cuenta, el hotel es familiar con pocas habitaciones y a 2 min. andando al centro de Saalbach, excelente calidad precio.

  An ordinary hotel with a really good chef.

  It could have been a strong 4 star hotel if it wasnt for the owner. We had a ski day the same day as departure, we asked the owner if we could rent the small spa with two showers to be able to take a shower. We have been at their hotel for seven nights and they wouldnt let us use the shower. Now we have to apologise to our travel companies on the plane home, and we blame Hotel Astrid for this. But the chef should have credit for the fantastic food he served all week.

  Wonderful stay in Saalbach

  This was our fourth trip to Saalbach-Hinterglemm. We love the resort for the skiing and the wonderful people. We first came to Kohlmais Stub'n a few years ago for dinner. They have the best Cordon Bleu in town. After a few years of being disappointed by the hotels we were staying in, we decided to stay at Hotel Astrid. We will definitely come back. Ski in/ski out and very friendly staff. We stayed in the All Suite and appreciated the extra space. Definitely recommend.

  Great on-piste hotel with good food

  Took a group of 12 of us to Saalbach (all male) staying half board at the Hotel Astrid and had a great time with good rooms and great food. We stayed in the comfort suites which comprise of 2 separate double (Austrain twin) beds with an additional lounge/dining area which also had an extra bed (we didn't use). The rooms we fairly spacious, warm and clean with plenty of storage and hanging space for ski gear etc. Whilst the bathroom is a little dates it was clean and the shower (despite looking v old) was powerful and refreshing. Clean hand and bath towels were provided daily. All-in-all we were delighted with the rooms. Food was in the attached bar / restaurant with buffet breakfast and hot option daily. We chose our evening main course before heading out for the day and had buffet/soup starters - whilst the half-board menu was limited the food was very good and plentiful. The restaurant also has an a la carte menu but we didn't use it. The bar/restaurant backs on to the bottom of piste 51 making the location excellent - a 100m ski down to the new Kholmisbahn made getting out on the slopes v easy whilst keeping the hotel on a quiet road just 150m walk from the main apres ski areas - we tended to drop our ski gear and wander sown for schnapps etc without the trouble of walking anywhere in ski boots (tip: when you come out of the boot room turn left and go up the external stairs directly on to piste 51) Staff were great - check-in was the simplest I have ever experiences with rooms and keys ready for us even though we arrived earlier than expected. Most speak good English (100 times better than our basic German) All-in this was a great value hotel (I would class as a 3.5 star) in a good location on a piste yet away from the main noise of the great Saalbach apres-ski bars...yet close enough to enjoy them without it being a hassle.   Great family-run hotel

  We have stayed at Astrid 8 times with our family (2 adults and 2 children). Its a family-run hotel in the best location in Saalbach. The hotel is very well kept and they are developing the business all the time. One of the best things with Hotel Astrid is their halfboard. The son in the house is an excellent chef. You get really value for money if you choose to have dinner. The owners make sure you get the best out of your days in Saalbach, with different hiking suggestions.
