  You get what you pay for

  Let's start with the good things. The location of the hotel is quite good, it is very close to the sea and a 4-5 minute ride with a taxi to the centre of the city. The streets near the hotel are very quiet so there is no loud noise during the night. Also, there is a waterpark right accross the street that we visited and it was very nice. The breakfast is ok, considering that it is not a 5 star hotel, each of our group found something to have for breakfast. The staff of the hotel was also very nice and helpful, they ordered taxis for us and gave us some tips for the New Year's eve, where to go etc. However, the rooms themselves are veeeeery small. We had an additional third bed in the room and it was so packed, there was no place for our suitcases. Also, the walls between the hotel rooms are quite thin, so do not be surprised if you hear your neighbour snoring during the night. But overall it is an ok budget variant hotel.

  The rooms are rather small. In the winter time you have to have extra electric heater in the room or it will be cold and in the summer time it will be warm. Almost no ventilation in the rooms and no air condition. TV's are old and very small. Breakfast is at best average On the positive side the hotel is close to beach. Hotel has free Wifi. City center is about 20 min walk away.

  Very nice

  Great value for money. Been with friends and family, very satisfied. All clean and nice. Service very coming forward. Descent breakfast. Rented sauna for few hours, not big Jacuzzi there, but big pool (was on maintenance). Spacious room where you can relax with fireplace. Has fridge inside.

  Locked out upon arrival!

  I booked a room in the hotel last-minute for a night. On Booking.com there was information, that I should check in before 18 but also that reception works 27/7. I sent a separate request for late check in since at the time of my reservation it was already past 18 o'clock. My reservation was automatically confirmed, but apparently nobody saw it on reception. We arrived at midnight to find the doors of the hotel locked, reception empty and nobody waiting for us. We had to search for another accommodation at this late hour and without any reservation. Very disappointed with the unreliable service of Astra Hotel. Even afterwards I only got a vague excuse email that probably goes copy-paste to virtually every dissatisfied customer!

  Nice location

  Travelled in a group tour. Well located within easy walk of waterside attractions and short walk to town centre. Plenty of exercise options, running, walking obviously, windsurfing, tennis, inside water theme park, etc, etc. Compact room though clean and tidy and on multi storey format without a lift which worried some in the group.
