  Great Hotel Fantastic Location Lovely Staff

  I stayed here once again for 3 nights during my visit to Italy . The hotel is so handy for Malpensa Airport and also a short train journey to central Milan . In 20mins you can be in Arona by train which is right on Lake Magiorre . A great location . The hotel itself is very nice and Massimo , Max and Elaria are so helpful and a great advert for the hotel . The rooms are clean and comfortable . Nearby there are a good selection of restaurants and pubs . Breakfast is excellent and the staff are first class . This hotel has everything you need for a lovely break .

  Great place

  It has a good breakfast and clean hotel it is quite and calm place where you can have a good rest staff are very hospitable it is not far from the train station and it is only 4 euro to the Milano central railway station so you could visit Milan and the duomo cathedral and its price is so good the room is not very big but the bed is comfortable and it is clean

  No AC, dated but clean

  I've stayed in a number of hotels in the nearby area and this is the worse. The weather outside was 30 degrees (and room came up to 27!) but there is no AC - and even if there would be (the reception lied that there would be for the second night I stayed - but turned out not to be the case), the temperature cannot be controlled per room. There are no irons - when I asked about it, i was advised it's a security threat and you have to come in the morning to the reception, what I assume is a laundry room. Apparently at 9. All offices start work before that which I pointed out - then they changed the story so that I need to come at 7 in the morning to iron my clotes. For a place that calls itself a hotel to not have irons available to use it's beyond poor. I have to say that the rooms are clean, but shower wasn't good at all, it's very dated and overall I suggested all the people who originally had booked to stay there to cancel and they did. I wouldn't want to return there myself. Location is good, but I expect more from a hotel than it's location.

  Comfortable one night stay

  Stayed here for one night while on business. The room was basic but very clean. Decent size bathroom and the bed was good. Air con worked ok. Which I was very grateful for. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. All the staff I came into contact with were first class. Good bars and restaurants close by.

  Excellent Accomodation and Location

  I stayed at the Astoria in Gallarate for a few nights and found it to be an excellent hotel . The location is first class so near the airport (free shuttle on return trip ) and also only 20mins from Lake Magiorre . Milan centre is also a short trip in the train . The station is nearby . When i was there it was so warm but the rooms have aircon which is so good to have in the warm weather . The breakfast is very good and the staff at the hotel are very helpful . It is a very friendly hotel with lots of bars and restaurants close by . Excellent hotel . Great location . Lovely staff . Highly recomended.
