ShabbyThe room did not look like the pictures that were on the website. It was very old and needs to be updated. It was very clean. The curtains were ripped need to be replaced. The bed is old and needs to be replaced. Our room was on the street and the street noises were very loud. I chose it, because we like to have a separate sitting room. And that was very convenient. We fixed breakfast in a little kitchen. And we liked that.

Worn out high end lodging that needs some workThis hotel used to be great. But it needs help yet still commands top dollar. It is really beat up. Built in 1975, the rooms still look like that. I havent seen old fashioned doorknobs and accessories like this anywhere. Yet its $300/night with all the fees added, for a very small one bedroom. No ice machine. Great beach with pier. No bbqs lots of parking. Tennis. Pools closed due to Covid, yet neighboring pools are open. Used to be worth it, but now its heading to be a dump. Have to close windows at night due to Hway 50/Lake Tahoe Blvd traffic noise. Oh well.

Great Family Vacation Spot, management made a difference! We ultimately had a wonderful stay at Lakeland Village. When we booked our stay we made sure to request a lakefront view and what a difference booking that condo made. When we arrived we were put in a different condo than we expected but after contacting the Manager Caitlyn, we were able to sort it out and moved to the correct Condo. This was a perfect vacation spot for our family of 5 (3 littles) & my Sister-in-law who has 4 total with 2 littles. We were steps from the shore, the sunsets were beautiful and again management was incredibly attentive to our needs. They were very concerned with having the rooms cleaned and ultimately what made our stay so wonderful. Is this the swankiest place to stay in Tahoe? Probably not, but to have a place where I felt safe for my kids to run around, close to the lake, to rent a boat and spend all day there, hiking and gondola's to the top of the mountain? A wonderful vacation. Thank you Caitlyn and her staff for listening and taking great care of us!

Stay experience at lakeland VillageWe stayed in #457 condo, 2 bedroom. We were expecting to have access to a washer and dryer however, the owner them. We called the front desk and they stated that not all units have access to a washer and dryer. It all depends on the owners. There was no storage space for dry food. The fire place was more for looks. No wood provided in unit neither. They do provide a good size shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion (enough for 5 people for 5 night stay) We are coffee drinkers and had to purchase regular size coffee cups because the unit only provides small ones. No condiments provided for cooking, cups, coffee cups, plates, no bowls provided. Standard. Cooking wear available however, can opener did not work. Beds were comfortable. We had a partial view of the lake from our balcony. It was a hassle to carry our luggage to the unit, specially grocery's due to the kitchen being in the second floor. The price for the rental was reasonable. Location was ok.. We were a very short drive to the state line.

Has really fallen on hard timesStayed here in Feb 2021. Not busy given the times. However, that doesnt mean that the experience was a good one. First off, when booking be sure you dont end up in the lodge. The room we were in was facing the street, and the windows were not sound proof so cars going by sounded like they were feet away. Asked to be moved, told they couldnt despite being only at 50% capacity. Second, the electronic lock didnt work so they had to give me one old traditional key, and never fixed the door. Third, everything on property was closed, including no cleaning service during the entire trip. And despite the low occupancy, requests for a different room, requests for clean towels, help with the fireplace, were all met with either a no or a significant delay in getting handled. The central location of the property used fo make this a worthwhile property to stay at. Now it is getting run down, and there are many better options near by. Sad to see an old favorite fall into disrepair and poor service.
