  Second visit for afternoon tea

  Once again had an excellent afternoon tea, great service, friendly staff and all Covid 19 safe guards in place. Beautiful surroundings and a very relaxing atmosphere Very enjoyable experience we will be back.

  DELIGHTFUL ANNIVERSARY LUNCH

  My Wife and I booked a Sunday Lunch at Astley Bank for our Wedding Anniversary, this was our first social outing since lockdown was imposed in March. We have eaten at the restaurant in the past and have always been impressed with the location, staff, food and service. We booked our table in advance and arriving at the appointed time we were greeted by the very courteous and amenable staff. We were helpfully guided through the Covid secure procedures in place which was very reassuring as my Wife had recently recovered from a serious illness. The decor of the hotel is delightful and considerable care has been taken in to preserving the historical aspects of the building. The building was spotless and has a relaxed and cosy feel about it. Staff were courteous and well presented. The menu was very inviting the hardest part was to make a choice as truly I liked every item . The chef and the team have obviously put a lot of thought in to what is an inspired range of dishes. Food arrived promptly, was hot and well presented, both tasty and very pleasing to the eye. My Wife enjoyed her two dry martinis and was delighted that they had been served in the right glass. We had a truly wonderful afternoon that we will add to our lifetime bank of memories. Looking forward to our next visit, felt safe and reassured in these most uncertain of times, thanks to all the staff. Charming location, wonderful grounds and plenty of safe parking

  Wedding

  Stayed in this hotel for my nieces wedding. Could not fault the hotel for the care and attention the staff put in for her big day. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was lovely. But unfortunately thats where the praise has to stop! We had an executive suite, which was not cleaned properly, hairs on towels, dust everywhere, carpet lifting, TV not working and a cold room where you can't adjust your own temperature. Was such a shame as it could be truly beautiful with a bit more care and attention to detail.

  Excellent Meal

  Had a lovely 3 course meal on Saturday night under the hotel's September special offer. The efficient and friendly service could not be faulted, and all staff appeared extremely "Covid aware". We felt very safe. Will definitely return soon, with or without a "meal deal".

  September Special Menu

  We visited Ashley Bank for the September Lunch time special offer, three courses for £15.00. On entering the reception area we had our temperature taken and all covid safety rules were explained to us. We were shown to our table and looked after by a lovely waiter who made us feel very safe in these strange times. All three courses were presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. This was the first time my husband and I had eaten out since the start of lock down and it felt great to be eating out again after such a long time. We have eaten at Ashley Bank on numerous occasions and we are never disappointed. The receptionist informed us on leaving that they will be carrying the offer on into October so hopefully we will be back for another visit soon.
