    Enjoyable Stay

Our room in the hotel complex was large and airy, with a king size bed, a large television, good quality fittings, heating and air conditioning. The large bathroom was very clean but in need of some remodelling. The climb into the bath to access the shower was not easy, with the height of the bath from the floor and the grab rail in an awkward position. The buffet breakfast could not be faulted, with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and welcoming and it was a very enjoyable stay. Definitely good value, with the full buffet breakfast included for $5 per person. There are plenty of activities on offer for families.

    Old, tired and expensive

Grindelwald, has seen better days, it has been let run down. The 2brmin chalet we had needed to be updated and painted. The pool area has clearly not had attention for many years with rust and unpainted areas clearly visible. The golf course is in terrible condition and they have nerve to charge for its use, costs $18 for 30 minutes paddle boat ride and charge $9:50 for room service delivery. Our family with friends ha e stayed here many times in the past, but we are all convinced we will not be back

    Over expensive and outdated

Went here for 1st wedding anniversary with the family. Very outdated vista chalets, needs a good paint job. Each time opening and shutting windows the window winder would fall off. Room smelt musky. Plates and glasses were dirty (in these COVID times you would expect a dish washer in rooms for health and safety) Restaurant was very expensive $15 for kids meals is very steep. Ordered 2 pizzas which were very expensive and very small for $24 each. Pool, spa and gym were good but change rooms very dirty. For 2 nights it cost us approx $500 which it wasn't worth it.

    Just dont

Tamar valley have fantastic marketing-but its all spin and no substance. We stayed in boutique villas. Sounds lovely as does all the amenities at the resort. Until you actually see it. A boutique villa is an addition at the back of a chalet-its like a cave. No sunlight. The advertised deck is a 1x2m piece of decking to get you into the room-no where to sit and no sun to sit in. Once in the room, the carpets are sticky and havent been updated since the 70s, the lounge chairs also havent been touched since the 70s, everything is unkempt and certainly not a resort. The toilet dripped and the whole room was depressing. Wandering around the village, everything was shut, you were charged extra to use the amenities when they were open and everything had such a sad air about it and everything needs updating and good thorough clean and tidy. After being told we wouldnt be refunded if we left early, we forfeited the remaining nights of our bookings and moved to a lovely Airbnb in Point Beauty-clean, light, modern amenities. So very different! Save your money and dont be sucked in by the advertising.

Gross, smelly, grotty and old, needs a serious makeover

Paid $270 for 1 night for a 2 br chalet and was quite disappointed. Perhaps 10-15 years ago this would have been a nice place but is in desperate need of a freshen up. Old grotty, stinky carpet and lounges, paint peeling off the tiles in the bathroom. The lounge has been shoddily repaired with a piece of plywood and is very uncomfortable. The kitchenette is old and dated and the curtains are have holes. Definitely worth a visit to play min-golf etc. but plenty of nicer bnbs around of a much higher quality.
