  Modern, well-designed and comfortable

  Japanese style room very comfortable and spacious, view partly overlooking sea. Very good views from viewing platforms on roof. Location calm and beautiful. Spa very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to cape by car, most people seemed to arrive by car given that it is quite a trip by bus. Dinner very good and breakfast good. Wifi in areas near front desk.

  Great View and Comfortable Room

  Beautiful view!! I had a pretty high expectation from their website, but for a resort hotel, they are not quite there yet. The room was clean and quiet but looks like it needs upgrade and a little face lift. Meals were great but the service lacks attentiveness. Front desk staff was friendly.

  Nice place but in need of repairs

  Lets start with the pluses- wonderful onsen with outdoor feature, great location at scenic Cape Ashizuri, option to have a traditional Japanese style room with minimal furniture and futon, great breakfast buffets. Not so good are the water stained rugs in the halls outside my room on 3rd level, the smell of food cooking in the kitchen that is situated atop the onsen that permeates the onsen, and the unconfirmed but strong smell of mold in my room. Staff are friendly but not too many speak English. Altogether an interesting design of a hotel but needs some renovations.

  Star gazing

  Always been looking forward to place to see a star filled sky. Chose this hotel that was at the tip of shikoku. The hotel was amazing . Food was good. Staff was friendly. We chose a room on level 3 with balcony. It was good for star viewing. The observatory was about 10min away. Good location for viewing stars. Good place to view sunrise is at the far end of the hotel car park.

  Ashizuri Thermae

  Enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It overlooked a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate with a simple decor. It felt nice to relax in the cool air conditioning after being out all day in the humid air. Dinner was also excellent and healthy. I was told exactly what each food item was and was assured that the vegetables were local and fresh. After dinner I experienced the onsen. The products such as body salts, foot scrubber, collagen skin care, along with the usual shampoo and conditioner made the experience more luxurious. Soaking in the onsen, after all has been done, was heavenly. I had the most amazing sleep! In the morning, I was very satisfied with the buffet breakfast, as I sat overlooking the ocean.
